The Sunken Mire | 40x30
Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I'm excited to release the next map in my Fetid Swamp series called "The Sunken Mire".
This map is perfect for any swamp/marsh encounter map you'll need to fit either of these biomes.
I made this map in two versions:
Swamp - Large looming trees, thick vegetation, & suffocating environment
Marsh - A few sparse dead trees with clinging Spanish Moss over a wide area of murky water and grasslands.
My goal for my swamp maps is to make both a Marsh and a Swamp version so you can use them in these different biomes, and I hope this versatility is useful to you.
Additionally, both versions have a "No Tree" version as well as a "No Lights" version, which removes the tree tops and bug-lighting, respectively. For my Grand Library and above tiers, I've provided the tree tops as their own layer so you can use it as an overlay on your various VTTs (Works great with Foundry or Roll20's foreground layer).
Whether you're exploring the Hool Marshes of Saltmarsh, taking your party down the dangerous, witch-controlled swamps of Berez from Curse of Strahd, or attempting to flee the Crimson Court over the Black Mire in Ostoya from Grim Hollow, I hope these maps help you set the perfect (and dangerous) scene!

That's a wrap for June! To recap this month, I've released the following in addition to the Sunken Mire:
The Western Gate: A forested valley with one road leading further up the mountain, while another road passes through an ancient, fortified wall/gate.
The Black Carriage Asset: My first asset pack featuring Strahd's Black Carriage to use on any battlemap.
Druid Grove: Inspired by the Grove of Obad-Hai from Saltmarsh, features a natural spring with various druidic stones, sigils, and iconography.
I am already well on my way to mapping out July (and getting ready for the summer heat...). I have plans to expand my Temple of the Moon map and create a small interior dungeon, the next map for the CoS Reloaded series, something new for the Industrial town of Lothburgh, and more!
