Here's the tab for the "Beat It" solo. I encourage you to practice this one, but do it a bit more fancy. Try playing it with a metronome set to 69 (half the tempo) and treat the click, as 2 & 4 (the snare drum). It's not that easy, but you will develop a sense of a groove. The easiest way is to lock in with the slow metronome (click... click...) and count "one, two, three" in 8th notes in this tempo, and start playing. Once you get it, and start hearing the beat in your head, then it means that it clicked. Practice with the riff first, then (when you are ready) with the solo. It's a great way to learn how to make your guitar playing more funky. Also, if you can play it like that, then you can play it anywhere - everywhere. I know that the solo is hard, but you can try it on the easier riffs of any song.
