Hello my dears,
I've finally started working on the lot, and I wanted to share an early look at the exterior with you all. ❤️
This is still very much a work in progress, but it's already starting to capture the cozy Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere I was hoping for: a charming bookstore / cafe filled with flowers, greenery, and little details to discover.
That said, I have mixed feelings at the moment. Recreating a real-life inspiration in The Sims is always challenging because we rarely have the exact objects, windows, doors, trims, or architectural details available. Sometimes it's a matter of finding creative alternatives and trying to capture the feeling rather than creating a perfect copy.
Because of that, I'm not completely satisfied yet, and before I continue I'd really love to hear your thoughts:
🌿 What do you think of the exterior so far?🌿 Is there anything you would change, add, or improve?🌿 Do you have any suggestions for details that could help bring the build closer to the original inspiration?
One specific thing I'm struggling with is the main shop door. The current door is square simply because it was the only green door I could find that has glass panels and stays open, which works well for a café/bookstore setting.
But does anyone know of a door with a rounded arch top similar to the inspiration image?If so, please feel free to share a link in the comments. 🤎 The only requirement is that it must be free content, as I don't share paid CC from other creators in my lots.
