Brewster? I don't even— [slapped in face with fish by knight]
DESCRIPTION

Rushing to depart for Carmel-By-The-Sea, where we're doing Father's Day (possibly my dad's last) this year, so speedily: Brewster McCloud won this week's request poll on its third showdown, defeating The Social Network (which I'd forgotten that I never actually reviewed) and fellow third-timer Blue Thunder. I saw and don't think I much cared for it in mid-December 2002 (when it was one of the last older movies I didn't rate on the 100-point scale, started doing that two weeks later), will try again soon, though it may be a couple of weeks since I'll need to rent it and will very likely be heading from Carmel to my dad's house in San Jose, hanging around until his birthday on July 1st (when I may get dragged to Minions and Monsters, as he loves the fuckin' minions for some reason; thankfully it appears to be a prequel, so I won't feel obligated to watch any others).

Possible slight delay also applies to this month's random draws: Daisies (which I love and own on Blu-ray, but my dad's player was disconnected years ago) and Torso (likely another rental, though it seems to be streaming on Fandor; leery of them after my Blood and Black Lace experience). Note that it's Daisies' 44th entry that landed on top—the film came and went for years (not sure whether always requested by the same person), and wound up being withdrawn four weeks before it would have auto-qualified. But with 48 shots every month it was bound to hit eventually.

As always, thanks to each of you for being here. You honor me with your presence. And your cash. More with the cash tbh. But presence too!
