So I am working toward an Ingrid comic with a slightly grungier than usual Ingrid, which means I have tatted her up, etc, and so here she is. She is, like, a babe 😌
I had basically just sketched this the other day and I liked it so much that I wanted to make it a complete piece.
Figuring out colors is always my nightmare in some way - I mostly know what I am doing, but only in like pinups, where the surroundings don’t matter so much. Trying to continually strike a balance in tone and depth is super hard. After coloring her, I considered giving the background a color, but everything I tried took away from the starkness of the image with just white, and so I just left her in the blank void.
The tattoos were basically the last thing I did on her; I have zero tattoos and Ingrid USUALLY only has ONE very unnoticeable tattoo; since I know nothing about tattoos, I am always just like, eh, what’s fun? What seems like her vibe? I feel like she doesn’t take herself too seriously, BUT she also tries to seem hard and cool. I think she also just LIKES getting tatted, and so sometimes she just gets random shit.

I also think it is very important for this Ingrid to have nipple piercings. Lol. And I need her to look like she makes SOUND when she walks. Like she probably wears pretty heavy boots, and she has all these chains and necklaces and all kinds of shit. She is just a loud person - louder than my original Ingrid, who is ONLY loud when she is drunk. Hahaha
This is effectively the same Ingrid who I drew with her tits out the other day on the $5-tier, but honestly I wasn’t thrilled with how that one’s face came out, looking at it now. The script for the Ingrid comic is REAAAAALLY hot so far (AND really SAD lmaooooo), and I think I am gonna have a lot of fun drawing it hahahahaha
