DESCRIPTION

So last night after inking for hours traditionally, I came across some pages on Twitter by Dino Battaglia, and I was like, “Well damn, why is my art always so CLEAN?” I obvs don’t mind clean art, but I like when there is some grit to it! So I fiddled around with some brushes on Clip Studio and found some that I really liked; I think the kind of inherent messiness and haphazard nature of this drawing is something I really like, and those tools really let me lean into it! I think my big Anaïs comic, Universals, will employ a lot of wide-ranging styles, with this (possibly) chief among them.

What do you all think? Do you like the expressiveness of this style?
