JANUARY PREVIEW: THE HONOR OF TOR RUFANE AND THE SPIRIT OF THE ARENA
1 / 13
DESCRIPTION

As the year draws to a close, we are diving deep into the heart of Tor Rufane to explore its unique martial traditions and providing new tactical tools for those seeking historical grit in the arena.

🔱 THE BANNERMAN – THE LION GUARD OF TOR RUFANE

In the High Kingdom, how a lord goes to war says everything about their lineage. While the lords of the Imperial Kindred typically take to the skies on the backs of dragons, and princes of other regions choose the majesty of the griffon or the speed of a steed, tradition in Tor Rufane dictates a different path.

For the lords of this region, there is no greater honor or prestige than fighting on foot, shoulder to shoulder with their elite infantry. The Lion Guard is the traditional escort of the princes of Tor Rufane. Seeing a prince advance amidst a forest of axes is one of the most respected and imposing sights on any battlefield.

⚔️ ADVENTURER – HISTORICAL EQUIPMENT FOR JUGULA

For our historical tier, we are providing the specialized tools needed to fully explore the tactical depth of Jugula. These four classes are sculpted with historical rigor to ensure your ludus is exactly as it should be:

Provocator: The only gladiator to regularly wear a breastplate (cardiophylax) for chest protection. Armed with a large scutum and a straight sword, they are designed for tests of endurance against their own kind.

Secutor: Known as "the follower," his smooth, rounded helmet is specifically designed to offer no grip for a Retiarius's net, making him a relentless pursuer in the arena.

Hoplomachus: Inspired by Greek hoplites, this fighter uses a spear and a small, round shield (parmula) to control distance before finishing the fight with a dagger.
