Possible Pathbuilder 1e Redesign - Your thoughts?

DESCRIPTION

Hello Patrons.

I'm considering redesigning Pathbuilder 1e to be a bit more like the 2e app, allowing to act like more of an in game character sheet/reference tool.  The principle changes would be:

1) Two modes - build mode and play mode.  Switching between the modes would be a simple swipe or press action.

2) Build mode would cover classes/feats/specials/traits/abilities etc and be pretty much as it is now with level by level selections.

3) Play mode would cover equipment/spells/attacks/stats/pets with clearer info for ACs/Saves etc.  Selecting equipment/spells/pets for each level would be removed, and replaced with a single character wide selection.

4) Skills would need to be a page in the play mode, but I'm not sure whether to keep the level by level skill selections as they are at the moment. I'm leaning towards removing it from build mode.

5) A new buff section would be added to play mode, with the potential for forming parties and buffing other Pathbuilder users. (I've got the tech all sorted out for this and I'm just looking for the right way to implement it).

My other option is to create a completely separate "Pathplayer" app that Pathbuilder exports to, containing all the play mode items listed above. I've been exploring this for a while, but it as it would need to be synced with Pathbuilder (for equipment/xp etc) it might be simpler to rework Pathbuilder.

I'll probably do a wider survey before proceeding, but I'm interesting in your qualitative views just now. Any thoughts or views on this?
