Chub Chomp Chill 1.4 - Patron Pre-Release
DESCRIPTION

Alrighty. Here we are. The Patron release of 1.4. Despite being Version 1.4, it’s more of a 0.1. If you’re not aware already, this is another scratch rebuild. Version 1.3 was supposed to be publicly released last June. But when I gave it to people to test, the feedback I got made me re-evaluate things. There were a lot of things that seemed wrong. Not just with that version, but the game at its roots. So I decided to step back and try to figure things out one last time. This is 100% the last time I am restarting this thing. I gotta finish this game eventually. So this is the beginning of what I'm hoping to be the definitive version of the game. This version of the game does not have all of the features and gameplay that were in Version 1.2. Some of those past features will be reimplemented over time; as well as things like previous custom Patreon assets. With that being said, let's move on to discussing things actually in the game.

IMPROVEMENTS AND ADJUSTMENTS

The main character model has been redone. Proportions are now a mix of the more lanky proportions from 1.0 and the more chibi proportions from even earlier entries.

Character faces no longer have a flat front. The face follows the curvature of the rest to the head.

Most clothing has been transitioned to being 2D textures rather than 3D models. This was mainly done in order to get rid of clothing clipping. Dress/skirt support hasn't been added just yet, but that's planned to be reimplemented in the future.

Jackets have been added as a customization option.

You can now change the color of your characters, head and body separately. Heads and body also have different patterns you can choose from.

Personalities have not yet been reimplemented. This is planned for the future.-Body types and body buffs have been remade.

How your character grows now depends on how you assign their macros. So now different foods can affect characters in different ways.

The main gameplay hub at the moment is the plaza. You can load in and interact with more than one character at a time.

Since this build of the game is still early on, there isn't too much to do, much like CCC earlier days. More stuff will be added later.

Gretta's grocery has returned. At the moment, all food is free, so you can feed characters as much as you want.

Other stuff I can't remember at this time

BASIC GAMEPLAY Most of the controls are how you remember them. But there are some new additions and adjustments that I feel are important to let you know about.

Left Mouse Button: Move Camera & Make Selections

In the plaza, you can switch between which character you are focusing on by clicking the icon with the character's initial on it at the bottom right.

To add or get rid of characters in the plaza, you can click the person icon at the bottom right where the initial icons are.

To feed your characters, you can either drag food from Gretta's menu onto the floor or the plaza. Or you can drag it directly onto characters. You can delete foods you have placed in the plaza by right clicking.

You can see your characters weight stats and macros at any time on their character info tab. This is also where you can access the “edit character” button.

I think that's the gist of everything for now. Thank you all so much for your patience and support. I really do appreciate it tremendously. I know it's been a long time since a release, so I am admittedly a bit nervous about the reception of this one. I would really appreciate any feedback. It will play a decent part in how this continues development going forward. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm going to attempt to add a few more creator assets between now and the public release. But for now, I really hope you enjoy this build, even if it is a bit bare bones at the moment. (Yes, you are free to stream it and share your gameplay, just please don't share the game files)
