Ganesha stood there silent, hands on his hips while the numbers replayed in his mind.

So much over a single month?

Across from him, Ravi sat on the chair, bare-chested and still sporting those peculiar feline appendages. The paper trembled slightly in his hands as he stared at it, eyes scanning through the page while his tail swayed behind him like it had a mind of its own.

Then a grin broke across his face. "Incredible..." he breathed out, the word barely more than a whisper.

"Indeed, my child." Ganesha smiled, a flicker of warmth spreading through his chest. "Splendid progress."

Over a hundred twenty points in one month?

Ganesha gave a slow shake of his head. This kind of growth...

It almost matched the Sword Princess during her early days.

Pride swelled in his chest at the thought. His child had worked hard, and the falna simply acknowledged that dedication. If Ravi continued at this pace, he might even reach level two by the end of the year.

Ravi stood up, the paper crinkling in his grip. That smile still hadn't left his face, stretching from ear to ear—well, from ear to cat ear, as strange as that looked. "Thank you, Lord Ganesha."

"But it makes me wonder."

Ganesha tilted his head, studying his child for a moment. Those cat ears flicked forward, attentive, and Ravi's posture straightened. "Have you been doing anything unusual this month?" Aside from that close brush with death...

Ravi seemed to consider the question for a moment, his brow furrowing slightly as he looked off to the side. Then his face lit up with another infectious smile.

"I've met my bruzzah a while back. We fought a monster party and been making an awesome team ever since." He gestured broadly with one hand, muscles flexing with the movement. "He's stronger than me, so I've been doin' my best to keep up."

Ganesha stared at him, the words taking a moment to fully register.

A triumph against a monster party?

He blinked once, twice, the pieces clicking into place. Hmm... yes. He nodded to himself. That would do it. Fighting alongside someone stronger, constantly striving to match their pace...

"So, you formed a party?"

Ravi gave a quick, enthusiastic nod, his whole upper body moving with the gesture. "It's just the two of us, but we made it to the eleventh and we'll push for the twelfth soon."

Ganesha's eyes flew wide behind his mask. A tense, uneasy knot formed above his stomach.

The eleventh floor already? With mostly E rank across the board?

Reckless child...

"An impressive feat." Ganesha's voice shifted, taking on a subtle weight. He stepped forward and placed a hand on Ravi's shoulder, feeling the warmth of his child's skin beneath his palm. "But never forget caution," he said, squeezing gently. "There's no need to rush. Slow and steady wins the race and keeps you alive."

The smile faded from Ravi's face. His jaw set firmly, brows drawing together as he met Ganesha's masked gaze. "We won't push further until we're ready."

Ganesha smiled, that knot loosening in his chest.

"Good." His child understood. "We should all strive for strength to protect the people, but we must not forget about wisdom."

Ravi nodded sagely, mirroring the smile.

A quiet moment stretched between them. Ganesha rested his hand back on his hip, tapping a finger against his sash.

"Who's this friend of yours?"

Ravi's eyes lit up at the question like fireworks. "Jack," he said. "The vice captain of Miach Familia."

Ganesha's brow rose a fraction behind his mask. Miach, eh?

Good for him.
