It’s another killer MidFig from Hades! They went all out in this one for this wing design! Wow! This thing is wild!
The hand-detailed painting on this is really clean! The print work is stellar! And the design! Oh my gosh the design! I’m loving this freaky lil guy! 🦇
However I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume this custom fig is… not for everybody… because in a lot of ways, it doesn't feel very “Lego” at all!
But … maybe it kinda does(?)
Like it’s not overly modeled to look like an action figure or something it’s not. It’s just a really solid interpretation of the cartoon, turned plastic MidFig!
The torso buck, head, and wings are all standard fare for MidFigs in some form or another. But the way Hades chose to simplify and not over-complicate things is just why they're the best for making BTAS figs!
They could have covered this thing in fur print or complex textures. They could have 3D modeled the custom elements to have had sharper angles and accentuated details added. But they didn’t! They kept it clean!
Ironically though, taking in the whole fig at once, I do wish shorts were a bit more tattered, but outside of that it’s pretty freaking great in micro or macro perspectives!

I'm sure most of you are curious about the posing of this big rodent! Well, the balljointed wings are a little stiff, but work well. Personally I’d rather have a bit of stiffness to hold up the weight of those limbs instead of something too loose! It’s also neat to mention how it’s a completely different approach to arms compared to Hades' last MidFig!
But with ball-joints for the wings, that means it can do THIS! :D

The size of those wings are also quite impressive! Reaching just over fourteen studs in length, they are quite impressive!

The head is also attached with a ball joint, although there’s too much shoulder in the way for anyone to take advantage of anything other than rotation at the X axis.

Not to mention it’s got this sort of “collar” thing to give him a neck, but that too hinders the ball joint…

I wasn't able to get the torso buck removed from the minifig torso this time around. But it is worth noting how the color matching isn’t the best between the Lego ABS plastic, and the brown paintwork...

There was also a white chase-variant of this bat-fella based around “The Batman” 2004 animated show...

At the time of writing this review however, that Man-Bat fig isn't even complete. It looks pretty cool, but I don’t have a BlackStar 2004 Batman fig from that show due to some unfortunate lack of communication at the time… (it was a whole thing...) So I saw no reason to try and grab it 🤷🏻♂️
All in all, the one I did get only set me back $100, which is crazy impressive given how nice this custom rodent came out to be! Even crazier considering some of the other BTAS figs we’ve looked at this week with similar pricetags!
This is some really good stuff as always from Hades the BTAS champs!

We love HadesDCBrick! 👍🏻
