Narrative Declaration Weekly Update — March 16th, 2026
Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Here's your weekly rundown of everything happening with Narrative Declaration.
Personal Note
I recorded this update in advance — I'm away today for some routine follow-up checkups. Nothing to worry about, everything is all good!
Show Updates
WarHams: A Chaos Odyssey
No recording on March 9th due to scheduling conflicts (illness, personal matters, business trips). Nobody's fault — just life happening!
Recording scheduled for March 16th & 17th to finish out the second half of Episode 3, which has grown large enough to effectively become Episode 4.
Skelly is finishing up set art assets for the next batch of episodes.
Odo is working on the Chaos Odyssey web page and adding info to the website.
Early previews for YouTube Membership will begin rolling out eventually — Patreon always gets episodes first, then they'll be piecemealed into Membership (same rollout as Kingmaker), and eventually go free.
Rotgrind
Recorded on March 11th — it was a hilarious episode. The ending had all of us losing our minds. Definitely worth watching!
Next stream: March 18th
On the feedback about balancing comedy vs. story: we hear you! Chaos Odyssey was designed as the more serious show, while Rotgrind keeps the goofy energy — but with better awareness of when to buckle down for serious moments.
Tales of Bravos
No recording on March 14th — I needed a personal day to recharge after a busy week.
Next recording: March 21st
Upcoming Schedule
We're trying to bank as many episodes as possible before Thurston heads out for roughly two weeks starting the first week of April.
March 16–17 — WarHams: A Chaos Odyssey (recording) March 18 — Rotgrind (stream) March 21 — Tales of Bravos (recording) March 23 — WarHams: A Chaos Odyssey (recording) March 25 — Rotgrind (recording) March 28 — Tales of Bravos (recording)
While Thurston is away, we'll use the downtime to prep art assets for future Chaos Odyssey episodes — a nice breather for the artists.
Team Shoutouts
Skelly — Doing excellent work on art assets
Jers — Great job helping out with art
Mikura — Still crushing it on animations! Thanks to your Patron support, I was able to increase Mikura's pay to cover four animations per month
EZ (Ezedoesit) — Holding it down on video editing, shorts, and posting
Thurston — Being an amazing Game Master and keeping everything together
All the players — Consistent, dedicated, and awesome
The Tales of Bravos group — Absolutely amazing so far
Patreon & Organization Updates
Weekly updates are now categorized and posted to the Narrative Declaration Patreon Audio feed — so if you listen via Spotify or other podcast platforms, these updates will show up in your RSS feed automatically!
I'm setting up post templates to make text summaries easier going forward.
The monthly PDF is nearly done — I just need to write the lore and find a background art piece. I'm waiting on details from Thurston and SpeakerD to make sure the world-building is approved before finalizing. Expect another awesome monster and lore drop!
Birthday Shoutouts
Happy belated birthday to Kabhaal and FiveTail from the Tales of Bravos group! Go show them some love:
Kabhaal — twitch.tv/foresightcabal
FiveTail — Check their socials linked on the Tales of Bravos page
Other Notes
Conventions: I won't be attending any conventions this year — all of my vacation/travel budget is going directly to the team. Thurston will be at Gen Con as usual (Paizo booth), so go say hi if you're there!
Sponsor outreach is ongoing — the TTRPG industry budget struggle is real, but negotiations continue.
Foundry tools: I have some optimization work planned — I'm meeting with some coding friends this week to run tests and iron out issues from the last Rotgrind stream.
Thank You!
Seriously, from the bottom of my heart — thank you. Your month-to-month support has been incredible for morale. It's helping the team's lives in real ways, and everyone is fired up with renewed energy and excitement for what's coming. We're in an amazing place right now, and it's because of YOU.
Keep sharing the shows on Reddit, Facebook groups, and wherever TTRPG fans hang out — word of mouth makes a huge difference.
Love you all. See you next week!
