What is a Triumph?
A Triumph is a beneficial result when a player on the show critically succeeds on a roll. Due to the nature of how different systems handle critical successes, it'll shift on a case by case basis.
For something like Pathfinder 2E, we would only call it a triumph if the dice lands on a natural 20. Or in other non-d20 systems, a max good result on a dice.
For example:
"Rehua is attempting to kick down a door; his player rolls a natural 20 on his Athletics check; yes! That means he has triumphed. The Triumph selected from your submissions and decided upon is from user XxXHaloNoScoperReaperXxX.
'A Helpful Situation'
The player's success is so impressive that something useful occurs!
Due to this Triumph, the Game Master and Player work together to create a fun, rewarding scene. Such as "The door may have knocked a nearby enemy down on the ground and caused it to be prone!"
This is, in essence, what a Triumph is. And we want you to submit your ideas!
What we're looking for:
Triumphs that apply to everyone. NOT just a single character.
Triumphs that can create fun or rewarding RP scenes.
Triumphs that help enhance the game, not break it.
Triumphs that help us tell a story or enhance a current one.
What we're NOT looking for:
No hyper specific mechanics in your Triumph. Not everyone knows the ins and outs of the systems we play, so sometimes we'd get Triumphs that gameplay wise don't work. BUT, if your idea really hinges on a mechanic idea, you can still submit it. Be aware that we might change it to fit the scene and game.
We want to avoid submissions that hand our players permanent +5 swords or full-party heals in a campaign. That trivializes encounters.
Do NOT make the Triumph character-specific. We understand viewers have their favorite character, but the more character-specific it is, the fewer options and more work our other players have looking for a Triumph to use.
Avoid Memes; we get that one moment in the show was funny, or that one meme circling the internet is as well, but we want to avoid dating the show too much and overusing jokes that can turn from super funny to annoying real fast. Unless it's REALLY REALLY funny.
Do NOT have your Triumph involve hero points in any way.
Don't include characters in the Triumph. Such as characters from other IPs, shows, etc. Or bring in characters that shouldn't be in the scene.
Do NOT include a Triumph that will derail an entire session. This includes stuff like instantly slaying a major villain, granting a permanent powerful magic item, or introducing an entire side plot as part of your Triumph.

Lucky Find!
In the heat of the moment, you spot something useful! A spare bit of ammo, a dropped item, or a small bit of coin in the environment becomes yours to grab.
Steady Hand
Either through skill or sheer luck, your form is dialed in. Gain a circumstance bonus on your next roll or check of the same type.
Spell Surge
Something about the magic being cast has gone wonderfully right! The spell's effect is slightly amplified, or the caster feels a brief spark of inspiration that carries into their next casting.
I meant to hit that!
Your action lands with such precision it has a useful side effect. Maybe you sever a rope holding up a chandelier, or your shot rings a bell that distracts the guards. Roll a D8; the number rolled determines which square surrounding the target gets the secondary effect.
As clinical as these examples are, we still encourage you to be silly with your submissions!
How to submit your Triumph! (Patrons only)
Keep this in mind!
Submissions are selected by the players prior to each session. Submitted Triumphs are not used in order of receipt and there's no guarantee that they will be used in the campaign. We're empowering the players to select a batch of Triumphs they think works best for their style of humor and characters, so please keep that in mind when submitting.

I'm not sure if I can get my Triumph broad enough! I don't want to submit something bad.
We understand that not everyone will get it right every time. We still encourage you to try your best and send in your submission. If it doesn't work, we'll either modify it or not use it!
My idea really relies on a mechanic, like a bonus on attack rolls or a specific save, can I still submit the Triumph?
You can, but be aware that the less broad your Triumph is, the more likely it won't be used.
How many Triumphs can I submit?
As many as you wish, within reason. If we find you're submitting 20 of them a month, we'll ask you to stop.
When will my Triumph be used?
The way this is set up, your submission is put into a "pool" that we draw from randomly. We cannot guarantee that your specific Triumph will be used during the show.
Can I have the spreadsheet of the Triumphs?
Due to how we have the spreadsheet set up, and for show purposes, it won't be publicly available.
