What can go wrong if you pass through a ravine called Ambush Point?

The party travels south, answering the call of one duke. The man lives on the other side of the forest, and the voyage shouldn't last long. In his letter, the duke mentioned being cautious about the shortcuts leading through the forest's heart. Especially about a certain ravine.
