We’re stepping into February now, and Lunar New Year is happening soon! So even though New Year already passed a month ago, the real New Year starts next week for me… yeah, it’s weird—two New Years back-to-back?! Honestly, it’s just an excuse to eat good food twice!
Anyway, I wanted to take this moment to look back on last year! There were things that worked out, and things that didn’t… but first... I’d like to thank everyone who’s been here along the way! You’ve kept me motivated, and thanks to you, I’ve been able to grow both as an artist and as a person while navigating this unknown world of art. I still have a lot to learn, and I’m excited to keep exploring so I can bring you even more shiny, squeaky art!
Last year, I stepped outside my comfort zone by working on a lot of fully colored comic pages! On top of that, I experimented with different, weird, niche ideas, themes, and concepts, and I’m really glad you found them interesting too! I’ve had a lot of fun exploring and brainstorming together with you all, and I’ll continue doing my best this year. That said, I wanted to talk about a small change moving forward.
I want to be upfront and let you know that I’ll unfortunately have to make some changes to how I handle my rewards. Moving forward, rewards will be based on where my creative focus is each month.
Previously, I pushed myself to complete a comic page every month, but that often meant other ideas had to be put aside because I didn’t have the time to explore all my spontaneous ideas. I started to feel stagnant, since I was creating what was expected of me rather than what I felt inspired by at the time. So this year, I’d love to explore more! Some months I’ll be working on comics, while other months I’ll focus on CG sets. Maybe one month it’ll be an illustration with the shiniest, sexiest latex render ever… and other times, I might just be in the mood for TF sequences...
I understand that this change may feel disappointing to some, and I truly appreciate your understanding as I work toward a more sustainable pace. I did have a few delayed rewards last year while trying to meet expectations, and I’d really like to avoid that moving forward so I can provide a smoother, more reliable experience for everyone!
