[Update] General mod making update (03/2026)
DESCRIPTION

Hi everyone

I wanted to make a brief post regarding some general mod-making announcements. This will apply to my seamless co-op mods as these projects are currently my main focus.

I finished my exams on Thursday and can now start working full-time on these mods again. I apologise for the delay in my posts. As I've only really been back for a few days, there will be less information in this post however rest assured more will be available in the coming week.

Dark Souls: Remastered [ BETA ]

No further development has taken place since my last post.

Dark Souls II [ TBA ]

I haven't been able to work much on Dark Souls II recently. I've been rather burnt out and also preparing for my exam was eating up the majority of my waking hours. Therefore I took a 2-week break from development all together.

Once I've gotten back into the swing of things this week, I will make an exclusive post regarding development progress as usual.

Dark Souls III [ ALPHA ]

I have done some work on Dark Souls III seamless co-op in my downtime. I have upgraded the matchmaking system from YuiNexus2 to YuiNexus3 which means that, when the update is released, all of the seamless co-op mods will be running the newer matchmaking system which is significantly more stable.

Unfortunately with making large, sweeping changes like this I will need to test this quite extensively before releasing the update, and this project is also quite low-priority for me right now.

The code I have written for proximity chat in Dark Souls II seamless is very easily portable to Dark Souls III (as they both use fmodex) so I would like to implement this as well.

To do:

Fixing issues to do with asynchronous enemy death states and soul gain

Covenants and PvP QoL updates

Fixing NPC questlines

Addition of pseudo-multiplayer features (e.g. invading NPCs)

Proximity voice chat

Elden Ring [ BETA ]

I have posted a fair few updates for Elden Ring seamless co-op. I was doing it in my downtime as for me it's a nice break from studying and Dark Souls II. I will be shortly releasing 1.9.7, and I am currently working on developing proximity voice chat for this mod (optional as they all are). However Elden Ring uses AudioKinetic's Wwise sound engine, which requires more reverse engineering work over the fmodex library I've worked with before in the older games.

I have also re-added player count increases to Elden Ring, however I think instead of aiming for a ridiculous amount of players - such as 127 as it was before - I'll be more cautious and cap it out at 10 or 12.

This is a long term goal though, and after this is done and the voice chat (with some bugs to clean up too) then this mod will be complete.

Elden Ring: Nightreign [ Complete ]

This project has been completed.

Sekiro [ TBA ]

No further development has taken place since my last post.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon [ ALPHA ]

No further development has taken place since my last post.

There isn't a lot of information here compared to the previous post, but I wanted to make a quick post to assure people I'm still here, I've just been rather preoccupied with other things the past few weeks. I am now back at it.

As always - thank you for your patience and a huge thank you to all of my supporters <3

Take care,

Yui
