Genies arrived in the material plane as renegade elementals. Too human to fit into the elemental planes, yet still too elemental to pass as humans. Very unfortunate.
But Genies still found success by applying the elemental logic of equal exchange! As prolific merchants and service providers, they managed to carve out a place of their own.
