regarding the image id say its about half canon bc i'm still fleshing out the family dynamics of the del Monte family, V usually would come back for the holidays but later on in her college career she gets swamped enough with unfinished schoolwork & the thought of having to deal with her entire family annoyingly commenting on her no longer being a pretty star student would make her go "fuck it i'm staying in my dorm"
