Greetings from the Oslo airport!
Ok, we all know that 'Tales of Zale - Flickering Lights' isn't just made to be enjoyed by children. But that's the category the film contended in for Fredrikstad Animation Festival, and that's the category it ended up winning! Going from not even having considered entering festivals to actually win in the first one I participate in... Well, it's quite surreal to be honest. Having had a kids audience pick the film from among the lineup at the North's biggest animation festival is very validating both to myself as a filmmaker and for the project's viability as a series. Special shout-out to that one kid who wouldn't stop clapping through the whole credit sequence. That especially made my day/week 🧡
