Hey there patrons!! Happy day-after-Thanksgiving to my American buddies out there 🦃Here's a little update on everything coming up with me and my art:
🥬This month:
I worked a LOT on figuring out this painting of anonymous farmer guy (AFG??)! I'm happy to say I finished a bit ahead of schedule - gonna give it til the 1st to post, to make sure nothing occurs to me that I want to change. But I'm excited to share this one with you guys. I feel like it has something to say that I feel deeply about! And hopefully is also easy on the eyes at the same time, haha.
I've had an idea for some bonus content for you guys bouncing around in my head all month and I'm dying to find some time to do it! I won't ruin the surprise, I bet you guys'll get a kick out of it though... familiar faces in an unfamiliar context.
🥬Next month:
In December, I'm going to tackle something I've wanted to do for ages but never set aside the time to do. I'm going to paint single iconic images of each of my three main characters - Seamus, Tusky, and Eddie - both clothed and nude, to serve as foundation go-to reference images for each of them. When I want to show somebody what my characters look like, I have to sift through all the random scenes and various situations they've been shown in. These images will give me simple foundational representations of each to have. I think it'll be a lot of fun to show the core of each one of these guys. I am not sure if I can do all three in one month, but I'll try!
I'll probably do a version of each of these images that includes a brief little text writeup too - the way I see other artists doing with reference sheets for their characters. It would be a nice centralized place to keep basic information. What things do you guys think would be most interesting and fun and important to include in a brief info writeup?
🥬January:
January is wide open - but there are a few ideas. At this point, I'm weighing either a new character in the fantasy universe, which is always fun to visually develop, or, an Eddie solo scene, because he's barely had any of those. Or maybe, just maybe, we return to a certain winter cabin getaway and get another peek at what's happening up there... 😈
That's the art update!! IRL this has been a busy month - day job had a big holiday party, we hosted a couple friends, and saw both halves of the family for thanksgiving, yadda yadda. Everybody's great and it's all been fun, but my inner introvert's social batteries are blinking red on empty! Have you guys had a lot of plans this month, or anybody done anything cool?
Thank you, THANK YOU as always for supporting me on here, you guys make all of this art possible. Can't wait to share with you everything coming up 💚 Celeryman out!
