During a trip down the amazon basin, Lara heard a really obscure rumor about a map that showed the way to access a hidden realm of lizardmens from the hollow earth - surely, the hollow earth theory was absurd, but also living dinossaurs and she meet some a few times during her last trip in Peru... So checking if the rumor was true wouldn't hurt, and the map was actually pretty cheap.
Even though the seller looked a bit weird and had some unconventional beliefs about physics, he mentioned about a few girls on the villages showing up with sacks of gold being dismissive about how they get the money. Since the IRS didn't reach unhospitable places as the brazilian jungles, no one ever figured out about where the money come... But that map had the answers.
Lara was experienced about those crazy rumors. Nothing phased her anymore after living a lifetime of dangers facing from pirates to mummies... A lizardmen temple inside the hollow earth wasn't the craziest thing she ever heard.
She followed the map and took the correct turns inside the jungle until she find the passage to take her deep into a cave system. After navigating for hours, she finally found a bright light... to another jungle in another sky.
Maybe it wasn't hollow earth but a passage to another dimension - she didn't care much about mechanics. She wanted to get paid!
It didn't take much until two lizardmen scouts suddenly showed up in the trail she was following. Reading her pistols to turn them into swiss cheese, she stopped herself when one of them spoke in english.
"A new traveler?" and he salivated. "And a woman, on top of that?""A fertile and strong woman, too" the other agreed.
The catcalling surprised her a little bit and she felt a little bad if she started to shoot sentient creatures (ignore all the pirates, mercenaries and talking mummies she killed in the past). Before she could react, the lizardmen where near her, inspecting her body with their big hands.
"Hm... Is this the way the locals greet newcomers?" Lara glanced at their loincloths getting avolumed by their manhoods. "D-damn, you guys don't care about foreplay here""We can see you came for the gold, woman" one of the lizardmen replied. "You can have all you can carry. All you need to do is to accompany us for a ritual to praise our goddess"
Lara pondered while the lizardmen behind her massaged her chest.
"T-this goddes isn't one about bloodshed or something weird, right?""No." the lizardmen behind her whispered in a hoarse voice "We venerate the goddess of multiple orgasms, Pepe'Kyan. We need partners for the rituals so our race is able to procriate with our females"."Human females are heavily seaked" the other lizardmen replied.
Lara looked at the gold amulets they were carrying and glanced at the pyramid of pure gold on the horizon. Then the lizardmens revealed their true size, which made her blush in awe.
"If it's quick... I think it's not a bad deal"

Hell yeah! Lara Croft meeting the local lizardmens in her area! She's one of those characters you can easily match with any monster and just say she found it in a eldritch temple or whatever and it'll make sense. Love this :D
