Tangent: Eyes Wide Shut

Hi all,

This is one of those Tangents that‘s essentially 3/4 of a video essay. I was strongly tempted to expand the scope well beyond what I could actually deliver in Tangent form, and as a result it’s a bit disorganized and incomplete—trains of thought get abandoned, asides don’t lead anywhere—but it also might be the best Tangent so far? I don’t know, I stayed up all night editing, I can’t think straight.

This may end up being a rough draft of a future main channel video, which I’m envisioning as a weird hybrid of “the Twilight video but for men” and “Conspiracy Part 2.” I’m not 100% committed to the idea yet, and I'm considering a couple other possibilities. Probably a main channel EWS video will happen only if the conspiracists irritate me into it. And then I’ll have to get un-irritated enough to communicate with the public again.
