Here’s some completely different news: I’m planning to switch from MEGA to Dropbox for hosting my files.
In the past, members have repeatedly reached out to me about MEGA’s daily download limits. So far, I’ve usually solved this by manually sending people many (or sometimes even all) of my models via Discord, which, as you can surely imagine, is tedious as fuck. Dropbox should completely eliminate this daily download limit issue.
I’ve already updated the links in both the “Welcome” post here on Patreon and on my Discord. Dropbox’s layout is very similar to MEGA’s, so you should be able to find your way around quickly. Unlike MEGA, there are no longer separate 2025 and 2026 folders—just one main folder with subfolders organized alphabetically. Hopefully, this will keep things organized in the long run.
When you want to download something from Dropbox, the following pop-up will appear. You don’t need to log in here, just click the “Or continue with download only” button at the bottom.
I’d like to emphasize that MEGA isn’t completely off the table yet. If you’re unhappy with Dropbox for whatever reason, I have no problem switching back to MEGA. I’d love to hear your feedback!
