We’re sure many of you have already seen the announcement for the Learn Shamisen Competition (TAIKAI) 2025 — and if you haven’t, you’re just in time.
We’ve already received some wonderful submissions (thank you!!), and a few players reached out asking for a little more time.So… we’re happy to extend the deadline!
New Deadline:Sunday, December 7th, 2025 — Submit by noon in your own country(No need to worry about time zones!)
We’ll be reviewing all videos first thing Monday morning, and we’d love to see how your playing has been developing.
If you haven’t checked the original announcement yet, you can find it below. The contest is intentionally simple and welcoming to all levels — beginners to advanced — so you can jump in with just a few minutes of recording.
