Paradise - Quickie Break (8 pages of comic + 8 extra concept art/sketches)

Huh? What do you mean March ends tomorrow? What happened to the rest of it?

Anyway, this is a short comic idea I had following last month's story, but struggled a bit with art block/art low and focus this month so it only really crystallized now.

There may be less than 36 hours still left in the month for me locally, but I am also still going to try to pull together another short story idea I also have before the end of my day tomorrow, so apologies if it ends up a little messy in my haste. Look forward to that tomorrow (assuming nothing goes wrong).

Oh right, the comic.

We a little silly at Paradise today.

I know in the last Paradise story, I mentioned Lia having a "feline cock," but after cursing my search history, feline cocks are weird, and I couldn't get it to look anyway I liked, so I let her have Ted's human penis here. Maybe I'll revisit the idea another time. I do like that it can retract into the body when not in use though.

For those not in my discord this is indeed the first visualizations of some Paradise characters, including Lia the lioness and Ted, and Laha the dullahan and Zach. I did some other character art and concept sketches for some of the key characters (at least the suits) from last month's story earlier in the month and had hoped to do more over the month, but well, you can tell how that turned out. Still, I'll share here to pad out this post, because content is content, right?

Furry designs are still exotic to me, and I'm still slowly figuring them out. I hope, even if some things aren't quite right, that it all still looks appealing enough to entertain.

Concept sketches:

Lia in a slightly more formal top. Not sure why I like the tight capris on this char in particular, but I do.

Typical Lamia stuff. Thought it might be interesting to add a bit more scaling to the arms and head, but all the soft bits are still soft where they're supposed to be.

The vision I had for this char, even before getting to the visual design was "bratty," mostly just as a change of pace from "sultry" which is my usual flavor. The three heads allow Cher to be three different personality types at the same time, though the horny brat in the center tends to still be the dominant one.

Dullahan suits are a fascinating realm of relatively unexplored potential. In this setting, they're a little more restrictive, since I don't have access to portals to make the wearer more comfortable. In the comic, I made her chest even bigger than I did here, partially because I couldn't help myself, but also because it helped emphasize her size difference from Lia. I did forget Laha's horns in this pic tho, and didn't tone her light blue skin like I did in the comic.

This fairy is 100% robotic. And at, like, 7in/17cm tall, she ain't blowing anyone, despite her offer.

Musculature and men are both a bit weak areas for me, but they'll only stay that way if I don't at least try doing them, at least on occasion. I think he turned out devilishly handsome enough, at least in the face/head.

Tentatively, I'd like to do more with these characters, including in a visual format like this comic, but don't have any additional concrete ideas yet, so we'll see.
