The clink of silverware against plates echoed softly through the quiet kitchen. The evening light filtered through the curtains, bathing the walls with warm hues.
Tim sat across the table from his wife, his plate largely untouched as he idly poked at his food. He was seated with his shoulders slightly hunched, elbows on the table, his fingers rhythmically tapping on the table. He wore his old, soft t-shirt from college, sleeves tight around his arms, but his shoulders slumped the way they always did when he was mentally chewing on something that made his stomach churn. His dark hair was a little messy from running his hand through it all dinner, and he kept glancing up at his wife like he wanted to say something but didn’t want to ruin the peace.
Natalie, across from him, was curled cross-legged on her chair, her bare knee peeking out from under the hem of one of his old shirts she’d claimed for herself. Her long blonde hair was pulled into a loose ponytail, but a few strands fell and curled around the round frames of her glasses. She nudged the glasses up her nose with her thumb every so often, out of habit more than anything. Her freckles stood out under the warm light and, even in the middle of the awkward silence between them, she still looked stupidly pretty.
They’d been dancing around it for weeks, maybe longer. But tonight, the quiet felt different—more honest than tense.
Tim cleared his throat, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. “Nat,” he said, voice low and careful but not heavy. “Can we… just say it out loud?”
She lifted her gaze from her plate, her lashes catching the light behind her glasses. “Say what?” she asked like she didn’t know. But they both did.
He gave her a tired, crooked smile, like he was embarrassed even now. “That I can’t…” He gestured helplessly with one hand, fingers spread. “I just can’t. No matter what we try.”
Natalie’s shoulders dropped, but her mouth twitched like she wanted to tease him, lighten the edge. “Tim, we’ve tried everything,” she said, counting off her fingers. “Role play, lingerie, that weekend at the cabin, those dumb quizzes from that podcast,” she laughed under her breath, her cheeks warm. “It’s not like you didn’t want to.”
“I did, and I still do,” Tim said quickly, his eyes locked on hers, the words tumbling out like he’d been waiting for them to break free. “God, Nat, it’s not you. It’s never been you. You’re…” He looked at her—the soft spill of her hair, her round glasses sliding down her nose, the curve of her thighs tucked under his shirt—and his chest ached with it. “You’re stunning. And I want you. Just not… not the way you need.”
Natalie’s laugh eased the tension, warm but tinged with that crack of bittersweet honesty. She let her fork fall onto her plate, leaning her elbow on the table as she rested her chin on her palm, her glasses sliding just a touch down her nose. Her soft blue eyes sparkled behind the round frames—soft and understanding, but always ready to poke at him, just enough to make him roll his eyes.
“You’re not broken, Tim…” she said, her voice gentle at first, then paused, her lips twitching into that mischievous smirk he knew so well. “But—” she dragged out the word, tilting her head, “you sure you don’t have erectile dysfunction? Might want to get that checked out, old man.”
Tim shot her an exasperated look, but the corners of his mouth betrayed him, curling up into that reluctant grin. He let out a short laugh, scrubbing a hand over his face. “Har har. Real funny. I pour my heart out, and you call me old and limp in the same breath?”
She giggled, shifting her weight so her knee bumped his under the table. “I’m just saying! There might also be a chance that you’re not even into women. You just don’t know it yet. Are you gay?” She lifted her brows in exaggerated innocence, biting back another laugh when he narrowed his eyes at her.
“God, Nat! You’re impossible!” he responded bemusedly, almost annoyed, shaking his head, but the smile that pulled at his lips softened everything in his voice. He reached across the table, catching her hand in his, thumb brushing over the smooth metal of her wedding band. “Seriously, though… Thank you for not making me feel like a total screw-up.”
Natalie squeezed his hand, her thumb tracing the back of his knuckles, her glasses slipping again as she peered at him. “You’re not a screw-up, Tim. You’re the sweetest man I’ve ever met. That’s why I married you two years ago. You just have… a sleepy dick.”
He shot her another sharp leer, startled, but barked a laugh that bounced through the kitchen. “Jesus, Nat! Give me a break.”
She only grinned wider, a teasing little glint in her fetching eyes as she leaned closer. “Hey, you said we were gonna talk about it. Gotta keep it honest, right?”
Tim chuckled, tugging her hand up so he could kiss her knuckles. “Yeah,” he murmured softly. “Honest.”
He squeezed her hand tighter as the laughter faded, leaving the warm hush of the kitchen settling around them again. He let out a quiet sigh, shoulders slumping a little more as he looked down at their joined hands.
“Nat… you know,” he stared, his voice careful but honest, “our sex life has been… rough. For a while.” He let out a short, dry laugh, shaking his head. “Or I guess… It’s just been quiet. I know that’s not fair to you.”
Natalie huffed a soft breath through her nose, lips twitching at the edges. “Well…” She nudged his foot under the table, her glasses slipping down her nose again. “To be fair… we did do it about a month and a half ago. After that one Christmas party. So, it hasn’t been completely dry.”
Tim let out another long, amused exhale, rolling his eyes as he leaned back in his chair. “Wow. Once for the record books.”
She giggled softly, but her smile turned a touch sad as she moved her glasses back into place with her fingertip, studying him. “I know it’s not really funny. I just… I don’t know how to fix it either. I just kinda… learned how to live with it, I guess.”
He nodded, the line between his brows deepening. “Yeah. I’ve been… thinking about it. For a while now. Longer than I want to admit.”
Natalie tilted her head, curiosity sparkling behind her round lenses as she leaned forward. “Thinking about what exactly?”
Tim hesitated, then took a breath, and his thumb stopped tracing gentle circles on her skin. “I don’t know… maybe…” He laughed under his breath as if the words tasted strange in his mouth. “Maybe you should have someone. A partner. Just… for that.”
Natalie blinked. For a second, her mouth fell open, then snapped shut again. She arched her brow high, looking bemused at him like he’d just grown a second head. “A partner?” she repeated, half incredulous, half teasing. “Like… what, you want me to get a boyfriend?! Are you crazy, Tim??”
Tim winced at her sharp tone, and a faint blush crept up his neck as he ducked his head. “No, no! Not a boyfriend… not like… love. Just… someone you trust. A person who can give you what I can’t.” He thought that maybe if he explained it better, it would make the situation less charged.
He met her eyes again as he tried to soften the raw edge of it with a tiny, lopsided smile. “Someone who makes you feel… wanted. Full. Even if it’s not me.”
Natalie let out a low breath, the sound somewhere between a laugh and a sigh. She leaned back in her chair and stared at him like she wasn’t sure whether to shake or kiss him. Her fingers fidgeted, taken aback by his outlandish proposal.
“God, Tim… you can’t be serious? You’re just joking with me, right?” she responded urgently as she read his face. But the longer she stared, the more she began to realize he was serious. “God, you do really mean this! You want me to just… what? Go find some nice guy who wants to fuck a married woman? I think you’ve officially lost it, babe.”
Tim winced again at the bluntness, his shoulders tensing. “Augh, Nat, not like that. You’re making it sound worse than it really is,” he said quickly, trying to keep his voice calm and reasonable, like he hadn’t played this scenario over in his head a hundred times already.
Natalie narrowed her eyes at him over the rim of her glasses, the faintest hint of a smirk pulling at her lips even as her brow furrowed. “Really? Because I don’t know how else it’s supposed to sound, Tim,” she shot back, her tone sharp but not mean, more bewildered than anything. “You’re sitting there telling me to go get railed by some random guy. Do you hear yourself?”
Tim dragged a hand through his hair, the tips of his ears turning pink. “Augh, Nat, stop being so vulgar about it. I know what I’m saying.” He huffed out a breath, trying to find the words so that it would make sense out loud the way it did in his head at three o’clock in the morning. “It’s not about just… fucking. It’s not just sex. It’s about you feeling wanted. Needed. God, satisfied for once. Like you’re not just stuck with this half-version of what you deserve.”
Natalie’s lips parted, and she looked at him like she couldn’t decide if she should laugh or reach across the table and shake him. “Tim…” She crossed her arms over her chest, the hem of her shirt riding up her bare thighs. “You’re basically telling me to cheat on you. On purpose. How is that supposed to make sense?”
Tim blew out a shaky breath, meeting her eyes head-on. “It’s not cheating if I know about it. If I want it for you. Nat, I want you to feel good. I want you to feel that… spark. I know I can’t give it to you, not the way you need it. But someone else could. Someone who respects you. Respects us. It wouldn’t be love, you have that here.” He tapped the table between them, his fingers trembling a little. “It’d just be… the rest of it. What I can’t give to you.”
She searched his face, her teeth digging into her lower lip, her glasses slipping down again. She let out a soft, disbelieving laugh. “A side piece. Like I’m gonna have a… what, a ‘friend with benefits?’ While you’re at home doing laundry?”
Tim cracked a tired smile. “Pretty much. Yeah.” He shrugged helplessly, his voice turning gentle, almost shy. “God, Nat… you deserve that. You do. And I’d rather know about it. I’d rather be part of that choice than pretend it’s not what you’re missing.”
Natalie just stared at him, while a thousand half-formed questions tangled behind her round lenses. But under it all, there was a flicker of warmth, too, and a spark that made her feel bright, terrified, and so damn alive.
She let out a long, quiet sigh, her shoulders slumping as she pushed her glasses up her nose. She didn’t say yes, but she didn’t shut him down either. Instead, she just sat there, brooding, fingers twirling a strand of hair hanging near her face.
“God, Tim,” she murmured, breaking the silence, a soft laugh easing the awkwardness in the air. “This is… a lot.”
“I know,” he replied gently, a small, sheepish smile tugging at his lips. “I know it is.”
Natalie nudged his foot under the table, her mouth twitching with that familiar spark of dry humor. “I can’t believe my sweet husband just told me to get laid by someone else.”
Tim let out a rough chuckle, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, well… don’t make me sound kinkier than I am. I’m trying to be practical here.”
She smiled, but it was a tired one. The words lingered between them, fragile but alive. Neither of them said much else about it as they cleared the plates, bumping hips by the sink as they did the dishes, sharing soft kisses while they put away their leftovers. They curled up on the couch after that, Natalie tucked into his side, her glasses slipping lower and lower as she dozed off halfway through some old sitcom they’d seen a hundred times. And even with the strange new thing sitting quietly in the back of their heads, it still felt like them. Like home.
-
A few days slipped by, though there was this strange, big thing that hung between them, quiet, but impossible to ignore. On the surface, nothing really changed. They still woke up tangled together in bed, Tim pressing a sleeping kiss to the back of Natalie’s neck before she slipped on her glasses and padded off to make coffee.
They still bickered playfully over the grocery list, still laughed at their shows on the couch, still brushed shoulders, and stole tiny kisses when they thought of it. They cooked side by side, went on morning runs, and had nice little dates as a well-grounded couple should.
But underneath all that, there was that new current neither of them knew exactly how to touch. A slight awkward hush whenever their fingers brushed under the covers at night. The way Tim’s eyes sometimes drifted toward her when she came out of the shower, hair damp and matted to her shoulders, his mouth half-open like he wanted to say something but swallowed it back instead.
She caught herself thinking about the impossible idea he’d given her, too. Some days it made her stomach flutter, a secret spark deep in her belly she’d forgotten she could feel. In other moments, it made her feel guilty as hell, like she was betraying him with a depraved fantasy she hadn’t even acted on yet.
There were moments when Tim seemed fine with his crooked grin, his warm hand finding hers. But sometimes, when he thought she wasn’t looking, she saw that tight line at the edge of his mouth, and that noxious crease between his brows. It made her chest ache in a way she didn’t know how to name.
And still, neither of them brought it up again. Not at first. They let it sit there and simmer. This wild, terrifying thing neither of them could quite let go of.
It was a few more days of silent ruminating until Natalie finally brought it up again. They were in bed late on a Tuesday night. She’d been reading, her cute glasses perched low on her nose, hair down and messy around her shoulders. Tim was half-dozing beside her, one hand draped on her thigh over the blanket.
She closed her book softly, the sound snapping him awake. He blinked at her, bleary-eyed. “Hmm… what?”
She looked down at him, nervous but composed. “About… what you said. The other night.”
Tim’s stomach churned, anxious about what she had to say. He snapped out of his grogginess and pushed himself up on one elbow. “Oh, uh… yeah, what about it?”
She fiddled with the corner of the blanket between them, her toe brushing his shin under the sheets. “Are you really okay with it? Like… really. Me… having sex with another man. Seeing him. Touching him.”
He swallowed, his throat tight, but he didn’t look away. “No,” he admitted, his voice soft and real. “I’m not okay with it, not in the easy sense. But I’d rather have you feel whole. You deserve it. You shouldn’t wilt away in your best years because of me. I’ll swallow a part of my pride if it means you are being fulfilled in the ways I can’t give.”
Natalie bit her lip, nodding slowly. “And… who? How does that even work? Just… anyone?”
Tim laughed under his breath, shaking his head. “No, Nat. Not just anyone. Not some random asshole at the bar. It should be someone you trust. Someone who… sees you the way you deserve to be seen.”
She looked at him for a long moment, her thumb brushing over his wrist. “And what about you?” she whispered. “Where do you fit in?”
He leaned forward, kissing her forehead tenderly, his voice warm. “Right here,” he murmured. “I’m still your husband, Nat. Your best friend. Your home. This doesn’t change that.”
Natalie’s breath was shaky, her blue eyes soft under her glasses. “Okay,” she breathed with slight relief. “Okay. I just… needed to hear you say that.”
They didn’t say much more after that. Natalie tucked herself closer to him under the blankets, her glasses left on the nightstand, her blonde hair spilling onto his chest as he held her.
Sleep came heavy but oddly calm. It didn’t fix the knot in Tim’s chest, but it didn’t feel like a wedge between them either. If anything, Natalie’s quiet questions, her soft okay, made things easier. They were still them. Still best friends. Just… more honest now.
The next morning, Natalie sat at the kitchen island, legs crossed, her round glasses perched crookedly on her nose as she lazily stirred her coffee. Tim stood by the stove flipping pancakes; the smell of butter and batter was thick in the morning light.
She watched him for a second, studying the way he hummed under his breath when he cooked, a habit she’d fallen for years ago. She felt that tension of nervous energy twist in her belly, but she swallowed it down.
“I slept on it,” she said suddenly, her voice small but clear enough to make him pause mid-flip.
Tim turned, spatula in hand, eyebrows raised. “Oh, yeah?”
Natalie nodded, her fingers drumming the side of her mug. She pushed her glasses up, meeting his eyes. “I… I think I want to do it. Try it. But just for a bit. I’m not promising it’ll be forever. If I hate it… If it makes things worse… I’ll stop, no questions asked. Jeez, I’ve never been this nervous in my life. Terrified even. But…” She shrugged one shoulder, her mouth pulling into that soft, wobbly smile he loved so much.
“I think you’re right. I need this. We need this.”
Tim’s chest ached, warm and tight all at once. He set the spatula down, crossed the kitchen in two steps, and wrapped his arms around her shoulders from behind. She melted into him instantly, letting his chin rest on the top of her head.
“Yes, yes, of course. That’s up to you, I don’t want to force anything on you,” he replied attentively, planting a kiss on her hair. “Thank you. For trusting me. For trusting us.”
Natalie laughed quietly, her hands coming up to squeeze his forearms where they rested around her collarbone. “Thank you for… being insane enough to even suggest it, you damn psycho."
He let out a low, rumbling chuckle in response. “So… we should probably talk about how this works,” he said, his voice lighter now but still careful. “Rules. Boundaries. All that jazz.”
“Yeah, okay.” She pulled back just enough to look up at him, glasses slipping down again. “Rules. That makes a lot of sense.”
Tim nodded, his expression thoughtful but open. “Yup. For both of us. So no one feels… blindsided.”
She left out a soft huff, brushing her thumb along his wrist as she spun around the stool to fully face him. “Okay. So… first. I pick who. And when. It’s my choice, my pace, right?”
“Yes, of course, your pace, Nat,” Tim agreed immediately. “No pressure. Ever. You choose. If you never go through with it, that’s fine too.”
Natalie’s mouth curved into a tiny smile, the tension in her body easing just a bit. “Okay. Second… I’ll tell you. Always. No surprises. I don’t want to feel like I’m sneaking around behind your back.”
Tim nodded again, his hands slipping down to hold hers as he stood in front of her. “Yeah. You tell me. Everything you want to share. You don’t have to tell me anything specific, but I do need to know when it’s happening. When you’re with him.”
She tilted her head in agreement, her cheeks pink as a tiny, playful smile twitched at her lips. “Yeah, fair enough,” she murmured. “And… safe. Obviously. Always safe. Condoms. No excuses.”
“Always,” Tim said firmly. “No risks. And… if you ever feel weird, or like he’s pushing something you don’t want…”
Natalie snorted softly, giving him a playful nudge. “I can handle myself, babe. But yeah. If anything feels wrong, I’ll stop it.”
They fell quiet for a moment as they processed everything they were agreeing on. She traced her thumbs along his knuckles, her glasses slipping as she peeked up at him again. “So… do you want to know everything? Like details?”
Tim hesitated for a second before his mouth pulled into a faint, crooked smile. “If you want to tell me, tell me. If you don’t, that’s fine too. I don’t think I could handle knowing the things you do in bed with another man. I’m afraid my pride and sanity will be left in tatters if I know too much.”
Natalie giggled, hiding her grin behind her hand for a second. “Oh wow, how modest of you, staying out of your wife’s sex life. God, you’re a weirdo, hehe.”
“Jeez, Nat! Not even a second in and you’re already messing with me,” he snapped back, shaking his head with an exasperated chuckle. “You make me want to lose my mind sometimes.”
Natalie couldn’t help but flash him that familiar, wicked smile she always had when she teased him. “Oh, please, you love me for it, babe.”
Tim rolled his eyes, pulling her into an embrace, his arms wrapped tightly around her shoulders as he pressed another kiss to the top of her head. “Yeah… that’s why I do.”
They remained close for a moment longer, savoring each other’s warmth. For the first time since that idea had cracked open between them, it felt real, not like an impossible what-if, but something they could carry out carefully together, one small step at a time.
-
A week slipped by in this quiet, strange way. Everything felt almost normal, except for the quiet thing humming between them that neither of them quite knew what to do with. They still did their usual stuff: work, laundry, movie nights, cute dates. But every now and then, Natalie would make a little comment that made Tim’s stomach twist in a strange, sharp way. The idea of Natalie fucking another man was still a raw, unsettling prospect no husband would ever grow fully comfortable with.
He told himself not to pry; he’d promised her that. And he meant it. But sometimes it sat in his chest, like a dull heartburn that was impossible to ignore.
One evening, they were on the couch, half-watching something dumb on TV, her feet propped in his lap. She was scrolling through her phone, thumb moving slowly, a tiny smile flickering at the corners of her mouth. Tim felt the question crawl up his throat before he could stop it. Did you find someone? Are you talking to him?
He cleared his throat instead, voice casual. “Anyone… interesting lately, Nat?”
Natalie looked over her glasses at him, an eyebrow arching. “You said you wouldn’t hover.”
“I’m not hovering,” Tim grumbled, tugging playfully at her ankle. “I’m just… curious.”
She snorted, her laugh soft and warm as she nudged him with her foot. “I’ll tell you when there’s something real to tell you. Besides…” She sat up a little, her pretty blue eyes glinting behind her round lenses. “I’m keeping my options open. It’s a lot harder than you think.”
“Oh yeah?” He tried for a grin, though it felt a little tight. “Like who?”
She ticked them off her fingers, teasing. “Hmm… let’s see. Well, there’s this guy at work, Jake. He’s sweet, always helps me carry boxes. Big hands.”
Tim rolled his eyes, fighting a smile. “Big hands. Wow. Impressive. And why did you have to point that out?”
“Or maybe that guy at the gym,” she went on, her grin widening. “You know the one who runs like a machine. He smiled at me today.”
“Wonderful. So I’m funding your cardio and your side quest,” Tim shot back, flicking her knee. She squealed and batted his hand away, giggling as she settled back into his side.
She paused then, her voice dropping softer. “It’s weird, you know? Thinking about it like this. But it… it feels less scary when I can joke with you.”
Tim’s chest ached, but he leaned over and kissed her hair, breathing her sweet scent in. “Good,” he murmured. “That’s all I want. Just… don’t pick my boss. Please.”
She chuckled so hard she almost choked on her own laugh. “God, never Gary. He’d pass out before he even got my bra off! Though, now that you mention it…”
Tim gave her a sharp, pointed leer, his eyes practically saying You’re pushing it. Of course, Natalie broke into her usual, playful smile and laughed it off.
It was a few days later when she finally said it for real. She came home late from her volunteer shift, elegant blonde hair damp from a busy day, cheeks flushed pink. Tim was on the bed surrounded by a half-folded mess of clean laundry, trying not to imagine what she might come home to say.
She lingered in the doorway for a second, hugging the strap of her bag to her chest. He looked up, catching her eye.
“Hey,” she said, her voice small but warm.
“Hey,” he replied, trying not to hold his breath. “Good shift?”
Natalie dropped her bag, crossing the room with slow steps. She didn’t say anything right away, crawling onto bed next to him, sliding her arms around his waist. He felt the way her fingers dug in, just a little, like she needed an anchor.
“It was good,” she whispered against his shoulder. Then, after a beat, “so… it looks like there might be a lucky man after all.”
Tim let out a low groan, flicking her thigh with a balled-up sock. “Ugh, don’t say it like that. Jesus.”
She giggled, ducking her head. “What? It’s true.”
“‘Lucky man.’ Makes it sound like you’re winning a sweepstakes.”
Natalie snorted, giving him a playful shove. “Maybe I am.”
Tim huffed, folding another towel just to keep his hands busy. “Alright, alright. Who is he, then?”
She nudged her glasses up her nose, meeting his eyes. “Bill.”
Tim froze for a second, then let out a short laugh. “Bill? Bill from the community center?”
She nodded, biting her lip around a small, secret smile. “Yeah. I think you’ve seen him. Older guy, early forties maybe. Always wears those dumb fishing hats in the garden. Kind of a dad bod, but strong-looking. Divorced. He’s sweet. Kind.”
Tim pictured him. He’d caught glimpses of Bill whenever he picked up Natalie from the community center. From what he could recall, he had broad shoulders, short, graying hair with a receding hairline at his temples. Tim noticed how Bill would always linger when Natalie was around, how his eyes followed her when she bent down to pull weeds or haul boxes.
“You sure he’s into you?” Tim said, trying to sound casual, though his gut twisted a little.
Natalie’s smile turned sly. “Oh, I’m sure he is.”
Tim shot her a look. “Yeah? How sure?”
She leaned in, dropping her voice like she was telling him a dirty little secret. “Like… sure-sure. He’d fuck me if I asked him.”
Tim swallowed a surprised breath, nearly choking on his spit, elbowing her side just hard enough to make her squeak. “Augh! Jeez, Nat! Where’s the modesty? Please!”
She giggled, catching her breath, eyes glinting mischievously behind her glasses. “Ouchy! Hey, you asked, mister.”
Tim rolled his eyes but couldn’t help grinning, even as the knot in his chest settled deeper. He grabbed her hand, lacing his fingers through hers. “So… Bill, huh?”
“Yeah,” she murmured, her smile softening. “Bill.”
Tim squeezed her hand, leaning in to press his forehead against hers. “Alright. One step at a time. Lucky man or not.”
She kissed him warmly. “One step at a time.”
-
The days after that, Tim couldn’t help but notice Natalie on her phone more than usual. She didn’t try to hide it; she’d sit right there on the couch next to him, legs draped over his lap, thumb flicking over the screen, that quiet smile tugging at her mouth when the screen lit up. Every time it buzzed, Tim felt that twist in his chest, but he bit his tongue and didn’t ask.
One night, she caught him looking. She nudged his thigh with her foot. “You’re hovering again,” she teased.
“No, I’m not hovering,” Tim shot back, deadpan. “I’m… passively supervising. I’m entitled to that considering the circumstances.”
She laughed under her breath, shaking her head, eyes rolling as she turned the screen so he could see. “Well, if you didn’t catch on already, it’s Bill.”
Tim turned to the screen, his attention immediately focusing on a photo Bill had sent of them. It was a quick, blurry selfie from an event they did a few weeks back. Natalie was in her volunteer shirt, strands of hair from her ponytail falling loose around her glasses, pressed in close to Bill while they were in front of an event tent. Tim got a better look at Bill now. He had a lean build, definitely that dad look. He had a weathered face that made him look approachable, a bit of a stubble around his jaw, and a warm grin that made his eyes squint at the corners.
Tim let out a low hum, his lips twitching. “Hm, so that’s Bill. I’m starting to remember him better now.”
“Yeah,” Natalie replied, her voice softer now. “He’s a sweet guy.” She flicked through a few messages, showing him the lines Bill sent. “Your husband’s a lucky man. I’d kill for a woman like you.” She laughed under her breath, cheeks flushed. “He says stuff like that all the time.”
Tim raised an eyebrow, fighting the jealous knot tightening in his stomach. “Yeah? That’s what you like? Bald guys with dad jokes?”
She swatted his knee, giggling. “Stop. He’s not like that. He’s lonely, Tim. He’s been divorced for nearly ten years now. He’s just… seeking good company.” She shrugged, a little shy. “Yeah, he flirts, but what can you expect? He still respects our marriage. He’s always cautious when talking about you; it’s sweet. And well, he does make me feel… wanted. Just how you wanted for me.”
Tim swallowed, letting his eyes drift back to the photo. Bill’s lazy grin, the way he looked at Natalie like she was the best thing that had happened to him in years. “So he’d… You think he’d really go there with you?”
Natalie’s smile turned into that familiar, sly look. “Hmm, it’s becoming more apparent that he wants to fuck me the more I talk to him. So… yeah? I just don’t know how to approach this.”
Tim let out an exasperated groan, running his hands down his face. “Augh, Nat! Stop saying it like that.”
She reached over, pinching his cheek and tugging playfully. “Again, you asked, babe.”
-
It was late. The bedroom was mostly dark except for the soft, flickering light of the TV that neither of them was really watching. Natalie was propped up against the headboard, blanket pooled around her legs, her blonde hair pulled into a lazy knot that was already coming loose. Her glasses sat low on her nose as she scrolled through her phone, the screen’s glow lighting up her pretty face.
Tim lay on his side next to her, one arm tucked under his head, just watching. He’d catch that look, that tiny spark in her eyes, and he’d feel it. It was a sharp tension of jealousy, curiosity, and something else he still couldn’t name.
After a minute, she felt his eyes on her. She peeked over her screen, almost shy but not quite. “So… he’s really eager,” she murmured, her voice soft but carrying a hint of heat hiding beneath.
Tim let out a quiet exhale through his nose. “Yeah?”
“Yeah.” She pushed her glasses up, thumb casually tapping the side of her phone. “Bill’s been texting me all week. He wants to see me. Not just at the center… like out… Dinner maybe? Just to… talk.” She paused, her lips tugging into a tiny, wicked smile. “And not to talk.”
Tim felt his stomach twist. He just sat up a bit, propping himself on his elbow. “Oh, I see… does he know?” he said, voice soft and curious. “About… all of this? That you’re not sneaking behind my back?”
Natalie’s shoulders slumped slightly, a small breath escaping her lips as she looked at her screen again. “Not yet.”
“Nat.” Tim let out a small groan, not angry, just disbelieving. “I thought we said no secrets. So, does he think he’s about to have an affair… with my wife… you?”
She scrunched her nose, guilty but not enough to look ashamed. “Just for now. If I told him everything up front like—Hey, my husband wants you to fuck me and tell me I’m pretty whenever she needs it—he’d think I was out of my mind! He’d run for the hills.”
Tim couldn’t help but laugh a little. It did sound a little insane when she put it into words. “Hmm, you might have a point,” he murmured, still skeptical as he ran his hand through his hair. “But still… this whole thing is supposed to be transparent. Things can get messy like this.”
Natalie offered a warm, assuring smile as she reached out for his hand. “He’s lonely, Tim. He says it all the time—the house is too empty, the bed feels too big. He respects our marriage. But… he wants it. He needs it, apparently. I feel like things will be better for us if everything is a bit more organic. If I lay it out too clinically, it’ll feel weird. I don’t want that. Neither would he.”
Tim clenched the bed sheets. An uneasy tremble coursed through him as the reality of what was happening began to set it. Soon, his lovely wife was going to see another man to have sex with. Even though it was his idea, it still seemed a little insane when he thought it over.
“And when are you gonna tell him?” he asked, brushing his thumb over her hand.
She shrugged, mouth twisting as she nervously nibbled on her lip. “Probably after the first couple of times we… do it… When he feels comfortable enough. I know it’s not ideal for you, but I think it’s necessary for this to work.”
Tim sat up a little more, his expression shifting into something more open, but he still carried a hint of uneasiness. “Hmm… I’m going to trust your judgment on this one, Nat,” he said, his eyes locking with hers. Natalie returned a warm, thankful grin as she leaned in to kiss his forehead.
“Thank you, Tim,” she whispered warmly. “For trusting me.”
Tim just hummed, taking in the moment before letting out a long, heavy exhale, as if bracing himself for what was to come. “So, for now… he thinks he’s the big, bad married-wife-seducer.”
Natalie chuckled, rolling her eyes behind her glasses. “I wouldn’t go so far as that. He’s just really horny for me, that’s all.”
Tim cracked up, burying his face in her chest for a second. When he lifted his head, his smile was tired but real. “Jesus, Nat. Do you have no regard for your modesty?”
She laughed, leaning forward to tug his hair. “You married me, hotshot. You can’t complain now.”
His fingers traced slow circles over her thigh, grounding himself into her warm presence. “You sure you still want this?”
Her eyes softened, that teasing edge slipping away. “Yeah,” she said, voice low and steady. “I haven’t felt like this in a while. Honestly, it’s quite thrilling. This is all so new. But one step at a time.”
Tim’s throat tightened. He leaned in, pressing his mouth into her bare shoulder, the scent of her shampoo still lingering from her shower. “Yes… one step at a time.”
Natalie let out a small, contented sound, her fingers slipping deeper into his hair. “Hmm, I love you,” she whispered, her phone buzzing again on her knee as she smiled down at him, warm, nervous, and more alive than she’d felt in a while.
-
Things had been building with Bill; Natalie didn’t have to say much for Tim to sense it. The way her phone buzzed more often, how she’d catch herself smiling down at her screen when she thought Tim wasn’t looking. He didn’t ask for details, not every time, but sometimes she’d share a line here or there, her cheeks pink, voice dipping low like she almost couldn’t believe she was saying it out loud.
One evening, curled up on the couch with her legs draped over his lap as she usually did, she admitted it. “He really wants to fuck me,” she said, almost shy but not really.
Tim let out a low breath through his nose while he brushed his thumb in slow circles over her ankle. He’d grown used to how unfiltered she was at this point. “Oh, really?” he replied, carrying a hint of playful sarcasm.
Natalie nodded, a small laugh bubbling up. “Oh, shush. He says he thinks about it all the time. He wants me badly. It’s… nice to feel that. In that different way, of course.”
Tim felt that old knot under his ribs, but he didn’t let it show, at least not too much. He just squeezed her leg and let her talk.
A couple of days later, he was in the kitchen making coffee when she came in, phone still in her hand, grinning like she had a secret. She was already half dressed for the day—jeans that hugged her hips just right, a soft top that dipped low at the neck, hinting at the swell of her chest in a way that wasn’t too obvious but definitely was.
“He wants to see me today,” she said, slipping up behind him, her palm warm on his back.
Tim turned, handing the mug to her. “Right now?”
“Mmmhmm.” She tucked her hair behind her ear, glasses perched low on her nose. “It was a bit last-second. But it’s just for lunch. Something quick. He wants to talk. Touch me a little, probably. He’s been so wound up, Tim. It’s cute.”
Tim breathed a quiet laugh, fighting the twist in his chest. “You’re really enjoying this.”
Natalie bit her lip, looking both pleased and a little guilty. “I am. Don’t forget you gave me permission to enjoy. But nothing’s happening today. Not that, anyway. I’ve got errands to run after. It’ll be soon, though.” Her soft blue eyes flicked to his, voice dropping lower. “Is that okay?”
He nodded, sliding his hands to her hips. “Yeah, that’s okay,” he said honestly. “One step at a time, right?”
“Right,” she whispered, pressing her lips to the corner of his mouth.
She slipped away to finish getting ready while he lingered in the kitchen, trying not to picture it all too much. He imagined it, Bill’s hands on her, the way she’d melt under him, and the way she’d come home after.
When she came back through the hallway, she looked… good. Effortlessly good. A touch of gloss on her lips, her hair pinned up loose enough to look soft when she let it down. She grabbed her purse from the table, glancing at him with that little spark in her eyes.
Tim crossed the room and hooked his finger through one of her belt loops, tugging her close enough for a second. “You look nice.”
Natalie giggled, adjusting her glasses. “Nice enough to make him squirm.”
He let out a rough chuckle and leaned in to kiss her forehead. “Try to make him earn it at least.”
She laughed again, a warm expression on her face as she pulled away, bag over her shoulder. “I’ll be good... for now.”
Tim opened the door for her, watching her step out into the late morning sun. His chest felt tight, but he still found a smile for her. This was his choice after all. “Go on,” he said, gently gesturing to her. “Enjoy it.”
Natalie glanced back at him, eyes bright. “I will. Love ya.”
And then she was gone, leaving him in the doorway, half anxious, half proud, wondering what part of her she’d bring home to him when she came back.
Tim stood at the door for a bit after she drove off, hand still on the knob, heart thumping in that weird, tight way he still hadn’t figured out how to name yet. He closed it, locked up, and let out a deep, composing breath that didn’t really help to calm his nerves.
He tried to stay busy to keep his mind off Natalie. He picked up the living room, wiped down the kitchen counters that didn’t need it, and carried the laundry basket to the bedroom. He caught himself scrubbing the same plate twice as his brain spun in circles. They’re just having lunch. She said nothing would happen… yet.
Tim knew what he signed up for, but still. Every time he thought about it, it still sat funny in his chest. His lovely wife with another man who lusted for her? The intention was clear; she was going to have sex with him sometime in the very near future. Nothing could really prepare him for whenever that happened.
By late afternoon, he’d gone through the motions of his workout, doing half-hearted push-ups, a few sets of curls. It barely made a dent in the way his mind kept drifting. What were they talking about? Was Bill reaching for her hand across the table? Kissing her neck in his car? He hated that part of himself. He promised not to dwell on the details, but his restless curiosity kept tormenting him.
Every few minutes, he’d check his phone. Nothing. Then, finally, a buzz.
Nat: With him now. He’s so into me, it’s cute 😊.
Tim’s stomach churned. He laughed once, a rough, dry sound, and dropped the phone on the bed like it was hot. He wiped his palms on his thighs, just sitting there for a minute, picturing how she must look sitting next to him.
A few minutes later, it buzzed again. A photo this time.
It was of her and Bill. They were tucked in front of Bill’s old truck, Bill in a soft button-down with the top a few buttons undone, his arm casually dipping just enough to show the soft curve of her cleavage pressed to his shoulder. The grin on her face was warm and playful, but her eyes were darker, a hint of that spark that told Tim exactly where her mind was going.
She added a little message after the photo.
Nat: He thinks this pic is just for us 🫢😁.
Tim let out another short, rough laugh. He stared at the photo for a long minute, thumb brushing over the screen. He could see how Bill was looking at her with his dark, hungry eyes. He wondered if Bill had his other hand on her thigh. Wondered how far it would go if he made an advance on her.
The fact that she was in his truck made him anxious, his heart pumping, his blood racing. It was just them. Close together. Intimately. Anything could happen… Anything. Even though Natalie said she wouldn’t do anything, a small part of him whispered, What if she changes her mind?
Tim didn’t text her back right away. He just sat there, phone lying in front of him in his quiet bedroom. He stared blankly at the folded towels like they might have an answer for how he was supposed to feel.
When she finally came home a couple of hours later, he heard the garage door click shut and the soft thump of her shoes coming off. She peeked around the corner of the living room, cheeks flushed, hair messier than when she’d left, her top rumpled like someone’s hand had tugged at it one too many times.
“Hey,” she said, her voice warm and light.
Tim’s eyes flicked to her face, getting a better look at her. Her mouth was a little red, her glasses crooked on her nose. “H-hey, babe. Good lunch, I hope?”
Natalie walked over, slipping her bag down by the couch and sitting down next to him, curling one leg under her. “Yeah. It was really good. He was so sweet, Tim. So attentive too. He really likes me.”
Tim’s eyes narrowed, and his chest clenched. He nodded, waiting for her to keep going. “Oh, that’s good, I guess?” Given her current state, something definitely happened, but he was too anxious to ask.
Natalie drew a soft breath, then turned her knee to brush against his. “I was a little surprised at how nervous he was when he finally saw me. I thought that perhaps he got cold feet.” She smiled, though her lips were shy at the edges. “As soon as we started talking, though, he became more confident.”
She nudged him with her knee, giving him a small look, almost a warning, before she went on. “After we ate, we went back to his truck to talk some more. Not long after that picture I sent, he just stared at me for the longest time. And… I don’t know… everything just felt… right. So we, uh, kissed.”
The word slipped out softly, like she was testing whether she said too much. Tim blinked at her, his mouth parting a little before he could think of anything to say. “You… kissed?”
Natalie laughed under her breath, rolling her eyes, but she reached for his hand anyway. “God, don’t say it like that. Yeah. We did. It wasn’t planned. He just leaned in, and I didn’t pull back. But we both knew that was bound to happen, right? Are you okay about that?”
Tim’s throat bobbed, his fingers tightening around hers. “Erh… yes, of course. I’m fine, Nat. I agreed to this. It just… sounds a little weird when I actually hear it,” he responded, composing himself to the news of his wife’s extramarital activities. “Is that all that happened?”
She hesitated, eyes darting up to meet his. “Not really. It… got heated and we… started to make out for a bit. His hands were… everywhere.” She laughed again, flustered but not ashamed. “It was getting close. But I stopped it before things got too far. There simply wasn’t enough time. Plus, we were in the middle of the parking lot, so it was not an ideal place to have sex.”
Tim just let out a dry, exasperated sound, half a laugh, half a sigh. “God dammit, Nat, show some modesty, please.”
She leaned in, pressing her forehead to his, her glasses cool against his cheeks. “I know. I know. Sorry. But it felt good. He wants me so bad, Tim. So much. And I just want you to know what happened.”
He swallowed, trying to settle his nerves. He gave her knee a soft squeeze, his voice quieter than he meant it to be. “Nice?”
Natalie snorted, giving him a small shove. “Don’t say it like that. Come here.” She pulled him into a hug, wrapping her arms tight around his shoulders. For a second, they just sat like that, his head tucked against her neck, rebathing each other in.
When she pulled back, her smile was small but real, carrying that hint of warmth that always made him feel like she was still his, no matter what. “One step at a time,” she said softly.
Tim nodded, kissing her temple, feeling the mix of nerves and something heavier settle on his shoulders. “One step at a time.”
Later that night, after he’d showered and tugged on a clean t-shirt, Tim found Natalie pacing slow circles around their bedroom, barefoot on the carpet, phone clutched in her hand like it would slip out if she didn’t hold it any tighter. Her wavy blonde hair was down and messy from running her fingers through it; her glasses were perched on the top of her head like she’d forgotten where they even were.
He leaned against the archway, towel still draped over his neck. “You okay, babe? You seem uncharacteristically anxious.”
She looked up, a breathless laugh escaping her lips as she stopped in front of him. “Bill’s texting me.”
Tim tilted his head, half-smiling, half-bracing himself. “Yeah? What’s new?”
Natalie chewed on the inside of her cheek, that spark in her eyes flickering bright and nervous all at once. “He wants to see me again. Tomorrow.”
Tim let out a low hum, crossing his arms over his chest. “Another lunch date?”
She shook her head, her bottom lip caught between her teeth. “No. Not lunch. He wants me to come over. To his place.”
Tim blinked, not surprised exactly, but the weight of it hit differently, hearing it out loud. “Oh.”
Natalie stepped closer, pressing her phone into his hand so he could see for himself. The messages were simple but charged with something that made his skin buzz.
Bill: You free tomorrow?
Bill: I hate how you left me for dry earlier. I want you here. Want you bad, Nat.
Tim stared at the screen for a second. His pulse was steady but loud in his ears. He felt Natalie’s fingers slip around his wrist, grounding him there.
“He’s ready,” she said, her voice softer now, searching his eyes. “He wants to… you know.”
Tim let out a breath, slow and rough, his chest tightening in that old, familiar way. “Hmm, this is moving faster than we expected, huh?”
Natalie’s mouth twitched, a shy grin tugging her lips. “A little. He’s just very eager, Tim. It’s been a while since he’d been with anyone. You could say I’m in the same boat, too.”
She studied his face, thumb brushing the back of his hand. “It’s your call, too. You okay with me… going there?”
Tim looked at her and stared for a moment. The flush in her cheeks, the shine in her alluring eyes, the way she’d already started picturing it. And even though a part of him felt that knot pull tight under his ribs, the rest of him wanted it for her, wanted her to feel that rush, that hunger she’d missed for so long. She deserved it.
He took a deep breath, thumb brushing her knuckles. “This is for you, Nat,” he said, his voice steady and low now. “If you want this… then go. Let him have you. I trust you.”
A spark lit behind her glasses, her breath catching as she looked up at him like she was seeing all of him at once. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he murmured, a dry laugh catching in his throat. “Jesus. Just text him before you combust.”
Natalie laughed, half-giddy, half-relieved. She spun around and typed out a reply, her thumbs flying. Sure. Tomorrow. My husband will be at work. We should have some time for ourselves 😉💓. She glanced over her shoulder at Tim with a mischievous grin.
Tim raised an eyebrow, reading the message she’d just sent. “Little scandalous, huh?”
She nudged him hard enough to make him huff. “It’s for the act. He likes the thrill.”
Tim pulled her in, his arms looping around her waist, burying his nose in her hair. She smelled so sweet and warm. “You’re gonna break him, you know that?”
Natalie laughed into his chest, her fingers curling into his shirt. “Thank you,” she whispered, pressing her soft lips to the side of his neck. “Thank you for this. For letting me… enjoy myself.”
Tim’s chest fluttered. He kissed the top of her head, his grip tightening. “Anything for you, Nat. Just don’t get too carried away.”
“Hmm, okay,” she responded, smiling into his chest. “No promises, though. A girl is a little pent up.”
Tim rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he playfully shoved her away. “Ugh, you’re killing me, babe.”
Natalie just giggled teasingly, her grin widening even more, maybe a little too much.
-
The morning light filtered through the kitchen window as the quiet hum of the coffee machine filled the space. Tim stood by the counter, mug in hand, dressed in his usual work slacks and button-down. He just held it, however, not sipping, as his other hand absentmindedly rubbed the back of his neck, as if trying to smooth out the nervous tension forming there.
Natalie padded into the kitchen, tucking a few strands of loose blonde hair behind her ear as she adjusted the strap of her purse. She wore a light blue blouse, tucked neatly into a pair of jeans that hugged her hips just right, and tan sandals that showed off her freshly painted white nails. Her makeup was minimal, just enough to bring out the glow in her cheeks and the soft pink of her lush lips.
She looked really pretty, as always, like herself, just with a little extra.
Tim noticed. Which probably didn’t help the nerves swirling in his gut at the fact that she was doing this for another man.
She met his gaze as she poured her coffee, smiling faintly over the rim as she sipped. “You’re staring, babe.”
“Was I?” he asked, trying to keep his voice light.
“Mhm.” She took another sip, then leaned a hip against the counter next to him. “Something on your mind?”
Tim opened his mouth to say no, but the word caught on his tongue. He let out a long, tight breath instead. “Well. It’s just a little… weird, you know? He finally sipped his coffee, but it did little to ease the buzz in his body. “It’s not exactly easy to process that my wife is about to go see another man to do… what you’re… doing. I can’t believe this is actually happening. Jeez…”
Natalie’s expression softened, and she turned toward him, setting her mug down. “Yeah,” she said gently. “It’s not exactly traditional.”
They stood there for a moment, close but not quite touching. The air was calm, but heavy with unspoken things. Her light blue eyes scanned his face, reading him like she always did. Then she reached out for his hand, fingers slipping around his without hesitation.
“If you’re having second thoughts,” she said quietly, “say the word. I’ll call it off. Right now. We can forget any of this ever happened.”
Tim looked at her. Her eyes were steady, her grip firm but warm. He could tell she meant it. That if he asked, even now, she’d turn around, change clothes, and they’d pretend this whole idea never made it out of the bedroom.
But he didn’t want that. Not really.
He shook his head slowly. “No,” he finally replied. “No, I’m not asking you to back out. I… we already talked about this. A lot.” He squeezed her hand a little tighter. “You need this. And I meant what I said. Plus… it’s too late to back out now, heh.”
Her smile was soft, almost proud. She nodded, leaning in to wrap her arms around him. He let her pull him close, burying his nose into her hair as he held her back.
“I love you,” she whispered.
“I love you, too,” he murmured against her head.
They stood there for a moment, just breathing each other in and savoring this warm moment.
She pulled back slightly, just enough to look at him, then tilted her face up. He leaned in and kissed her, slow and sweet, but with a little extra weight behind it. She kissed him back just the same.
When they parted, Natalie’s lips curled into that familiar smirk he knew so well.
“You’re really sending your wife off to go get properly railed, huh?” she teased, voice low and playful.
Tim groaned, shaking his head as he gently shoved her off him. “Jesus, Nat. You don’t make this any easier.”
She laughed under her breath and brushed her fingers along the front of his shirt, smoothing a wrinkle near the buttons. “Hey, I’m just making sure you’re still cool with it.”
He smiled and leaned back to rest his forehead against hers. “Just enjoy yourself, okay?” he said, voice softer now. “Really. I want you to.”
Her eyes met his, and she didn’t say anything for a moment. Then her lips twitched again.
“Oh, I plan to, honey,” she murmured, biting her lip with just a hint of mischief.
Tim let out a breath and shook his head again. He stepped back before he said something half-jealous or half-insecure. Instead, he grabbed his keys and gave her one more lingering look before heading toward the garage door.
“Just keep me updated, okay?” he added, halfway through the door. “Just so I know you’re okay.”
Natalie nodded, her smile warm. “I will.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
He gave her one last look, fond, nervous, but full of trust, then headed out the door.
Natalie stood there for a beat, watching the door close behind him. Her fingers lingered on her necklace, fidgeting slightly.
Then she exhaled slowly.
It was time.
-
The subtle hum of his office AC did little to settle the uneasy noise buzzing in Tim’s head.
He stared at his computer monitor, fingers idly hovering over the keyboard. His eyes skimmed over the same paragraph of an email for the fifth time, but none of it registered.
He leaned back in his chair, pinching the bridge of his nose, and sighed. It had been a couple of hours since he left the house. Hours since Natalie kissed him goodbye and stepped into something neither of them could fully come to grips with.
And the last message he got? A simple text she sent just after noon.
“I’m here. At Bill’s place. Wish me luck 😉.”
That was it.
The text was playful as per her usual self. It did draw an amused laugh through his nostrils, though, it still made his stomach twist into knots. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust her. He did. But his mind wouldn’t shut up. It had been feeding him images all morning, scenarios his imagination painted with far more suggestive detail than he would like. The kind of detail that both stung… and stirred strange feelings.
What was she doing now? Were they talking? Was it awkward? Or… are they neck deep in their lust right now?
Tim shook his head into focus, rubbing his eyes as if trying to scrub his thoughts clean. He’d told her to do this. Allowed her. He was the one who’d opened the door. He had no right to be surprised at what came walking through it.
Still, it was like waiting for a storm he volunteered to stand beneath.
When his lunch break finally came around, he wasted no time and speed-walked to his car. He climbed in, shut the door, and just sat there for a moment, letting the quiet settle around him. He checked his phone again, already knowing there was nothing new. He was growing anxious since Natalie promised to update him. He could only imagine why she might not be getting back to him.
And then, right as he was about to lock his phone, a ping lit up the screen.
Natalie 💝: 1 Attachment.
“It went great :).”
It was her.
A selfie taken in what appeared to be a bathroom, Bill’s bathroom. Natalie stood smiling, no glasses, her lightly freckled cheeks flushed, her soft lips parted in that giddy, post-high kind of way. Her blonde hair was messy, loose strands clinging to her temples and collarbone. She was holding up a cute peace sign with one hand.
And she was very, very naked.
The picture didn’t reveal her entire body, framing just her pretty face down to her bare shoulders. But that was all he needed to get the bigger picture. Her skin was slick with sweat, and he could see just enough of her cleavage to know what else was going on further below. She looked relaxed, loose, like she’d just finished something intense. Her expression wasn’t ashamed or shy. It was glowing, satisfied. She looked radiant.
Happy.
Tim’s breath caught.
A sharp, disorienting mix of emotions he’d been dreading, bracing for when he learned the deed had been done. His stomach dropped, but his heart kicked up in his chest. The sight of her like this, post-fuck, freshly undone, and practically beaming, made his throat tighten. He didn’t know if he wanted to feel anything. A mix of conflicting feelings swirled within.
He stared at the screen, struggling to breathe through the tangle of pride, jealousy, love, and unknowing arousal swelling within.
Then, slowly, he started typing.
“Wow. You look… happy.”
He hesitated. Then followed another text.
“How was it?”
The reply dots appeared almost immediately.
“Yeah. It was… different. But good. I was nervous as hell when we first started, but he was gentle at first, easing me into it until we got comfortable. We took our time. It wasn’t rushed. It just felt… right.”
Tim sat still, overanalyzing the message.
“You okay?” she typed, snapping him out of his daze.
He swallowed hard, leaning back in his seat. His fingers hovered for a second before replying.
“I think so. I don’t know. Seeing you like… is a lot for any man to process. But you look beautiful. Really. And this is what we agreed on, so there’s no room for ill thoughts.”
He followed with another message shortly after.
“I’m glad you feel good. It’s what you deserve.”
Her reply came with a heart emoji.
“Such a sweetheart, babe 💓. I’m so grateful you let me have this. I don’t know how to thank you enough.”
Tim smiled, his eyes warming as he read the message.
“A simple thank you will suffice.”
The reply dots appeared for a moment.
“Hm, thank you 😊.”
She sent another reply.
“Well, I should leave you to it. Don’t want to take you away from your work. I’ll tell you more about it later after I cook you a nice dinner. Just wanted to update you, as promised. And… yeah. Thank you again. You’re the best hubby ever. I’ll try to come home in one piece. Kisses 😘.”
Tim rolled his eyes, her usual playfulness bringing a small chuckle from his chest before he replied.
“Sounds good. See you later. Love you.”
He exhaled softly as he tapped send, letting his head rest against the headrest. He stared up at the ceiling, letting the moment wash over him. It hurt. It throbbed. But in a strange, twisted way… these feelings intrigued him.
This is what love allows.
And he wasn’t backing down now. This was for Natalie.
Tim swallowed again, bringing up the suggestive photo of Natalie once more. His eyes roamed slowly in better detail, tracing the flush in her cheeks, the messy fall of hair… and then he saw it. A faint streak near the top of her chest, glistening just slightly in the bathroom lights. Another smudge, barely noticeable, at the corner of her mouth.
He blinked. Looked again.
It was unmistakable.
It was cum. Bill’s cum.
Something clenched tighter in his stomach. His breath caught as a strange heat surged low in his body, pooling between his legs. He shifted in his seat, adjusting himself with a sharp inhale through his nose.
He thought he was okay, just hearing what Natalie had done. But seeing the evidence of her coupling with another man brought another wave of strange feelings. It was as if seeing it for himself made things feel more real.
Despite not wanting to dwell on the lewd detail, his mind began imagining the context of the faint remnants stuck on her skin. The image of his lovely wife letting another man cum on her felt so taboo. He could only picture Natalie’s expression when he did. Her soft blue eyes half-lidded and glazed, her lips sexily parted, waiting for Bill to finish for her.
Tim slapped his cheeks before his curious mind could conjure any more scenes. He reminded himself that whatever happened in the bedroom was their business, nothing more, nothing less.
He locked his phone without another word, the screen going dark in his hand. He tucked it away in his pocket, drew in another steady breath, and got out of his car. Time to focus. Back to work.
-
Natalie set her phone down on the bathroom counter and stared at her reflection for a moment longer. Her skin still glowed faintly, flushed and warm from her recent round with Bill. Her blonde hair was a mess, cheeks pink, lips slightly swollen from all the kissing they’d done. She smiled, just barely, then turned and padded back toward the bedroom.
The sheets were a wreck. Twisted and damp. Her blouse was hanging off the edge of the dresser, her jeans crumpled somewhere near the foot of the bed. A used Magnum condom lay beside the pillows, half-rolled, glistening under the dim lamp light.
Bill was stretched across the mattress, naked, one arm under his head. His chest rose and fell slowly, still catching his breath. He wasn’t a gym body type, but solid, broad-shouldered, with thick arms and a patch of silver-dusted hair across his chest. A little soft in the stomach, but strong where it counted. He was a rugged, older man, but that made him grounded, perfect for what she wanted.
His eyes flicked toward her as she walked past the threshold of the bathroom.
“Hey, you alright?” he asked, voice low and a bit cautious. “I mean… You good with all this?”
Natalie paused, letting her gaze trail over his nude body before she slid back into bed beside him, their bare skin brushing.
“I’m fine, Bill,” she said quietly, curling against him. Her delicate hand found his chest, tracing slow, absent lines across the sparse hair. “Why? You have doubts now?”
Bill exhaled, one hand brushing over his balding head as he looked at the ceiling. “No, I just…” He shifted to glance over at her. “You’re married, Nat. I never actually thought we’d get this far. It feels… weird. I don’t want to get anyone in trouble.”
She smiled to herself, then looked up at him.
“Hmm, such a sweetheart,” Natalie hummed, reaching over and playfully pinching his cheek. “But I know what I’m doing. You don’t have to worry about a thing. Just enjoy this.”
He held her gaze for a second longer, like he wanted to press the point, but something about the calm in her eyes kept him from it.
“You sure your husband’s not gonna—”
She cut him off with a small smirk, her fingers drifting from his face lower, tracing along his stomach, then wrapping gently around the base of his softening cock.
“Shhh… I told you not to worry about it. I’m exactly where I want to be,” she said, her voice a low purr that made his cock twitch against her palm. “Right now.”
His breath hitched, the tension in his shoulders softening. He felt a little guilty thinking he was fucking another man’s wife, but he was head over heels for Natalie; he simply couldn’t resist.
“Well,” he murmured, smiling lazily, “if you say so. Because damn…”
He reached over and tucked a small strand of hair behind her ear, thumb brushing her jaw. “That was incredible… You were incredible… That was probably one of the best fucks I’ve ever had. I really needed that.”
Natalie gave him a small, amused hum, leaning in to kiss him softly, then deeper. It didn’t take long for it to turn messy. Wet. Tongue, heat, and shared breath.
Bill cupped the side of her face, thumb grazing her cheek as their kisses deepened. Their tongues tangled, sloppily trading saliva between each other. Natalie pushed against him, letting her body follow the heat building again in her chest. Bill’s rough hand slowly slid down her back, settling at the curve of her hip, fingers sinking into her delicate skin.
She shifted, straddling his lap without fully thinking about it, grinding slowly as their mouths hungrily moved against one another.
He broke the kiss just long enough to glance at the clock on the nightstand.
“How long do we have?” he asked, his voice rough and heavy, his fingers tracing lazy circles down the small of her back.
She smirked and nipped his bottom lip. “Enough, hotshot.”
That was all he needed to hear.
Natalie slid down his body, dragging her lips along his hairy chest, over his stomach, licking the salty trail of sweat that clung to him. She settled between his thighs, her hands splayed across them. Her slender fingers brushed his peppered, short, coarse pubes at his base. His cock lay semi-hard, heavy, and throbbing as it rested against his thigh. Her fetching blue eyes widened as she became thrilled at the sight of him getting hard under her touch, which also made her heart race.
She gripped the base of his cock with her left hand. Her wedding was left behind; she figured she didn’t want to wear something so sacred to her and Tim while doing something so lewd with another man. She was firm and tender, leaning in closer. Her hot breath brushed over his tip as she flicked out, teasing a long, slow circle around it. He twitched in her grasp, a groan escaping his throat as he watched her, eyes locked on the mess of blonde hair spilling over his hips.
“Ohhh, Jesus. Nat… Fuuuck…” Bill murmured, one hand reaching down to stroke the back of her head, fingers threading gently through her hair.
She parted her soft lips and slid him into her mouth, savoring the stretch, the veiny contours, the way his cockhead bumped the roof of her mouth just right. Her tongue worked slowly at first, curling and pressing as she took more of him inch by inch. Her cheeks hollowed as she sucked, easing into the rhythm, her hand stroking his base while her spit began to dribble along his shaft.
It was obscene. Lewd. So damn wet.
And she loved it.
All the pent-up heat she’d ignored, the things she never asked for with Tim, the way she’d always been that sweet, polite wife, all came pouring out of her now as her lust drove her actions. She bobbed her head faster, sloppier, spit soaking her chin. Her eyes watered slightly as she pushed deeper, breathing through her nose, while she worked her hand in time with her mouth.
Bill groaned again, louder this time, his hand holding her hair in a loose fist. “Fuck! Natalie… Augh… that’s it. Fuck yes!”
Her thighs pressed together beneath her, her pussy aching and soaked just from hearing his primal sounds, just from knowing how filthy she looked right now. She moaned around his cock, the vibration making him twitch against her tongue.
She never did this with Tim.
Not on her knees, face messy, jaw aching, and drool leaking from her lips.
And yet… here she was, doing all that for another man.
It should’ve made her guilty.
But it didn’t.
It made her feel alive.
Like something inside her had finally snapped loose, like she’d taken the leash off her own desire and let it run wild. It was wrong, it was taboo, but it turned her on like nothing else. However, the fact that Tim permitted her to enjoy herself did take some of the edge off. As depraved as this was, he allowed her to indulge herself in ways he could never provide.
She bobbed harder and louder now, as she sucked Bil’s cock, making wet, greedy sounds that echoed in the room. His cock throbbed in her mouth, swollen and slick with her saliva. She could barely breathe, but she didn’t stop. She wanted to earn those groans. Make him see just how much she needed this.
Bill’s other hand gripped the sheet beside them as he tipped his head back against the pillow.
“Oh fuck… just like that.”
Natalie gave him a few more deep strokes before pulling back slowly. Her lips slipped from his cock with a soft, wet pop. A thin strand of spit connected them for a moment before breaking. Her chest heaved steady, heavy breaths while her eyes were hazy, and her lips were swollen and slick. She sat up between his legs, with her hand still wrapped around his cock. She continued to pump him slowly and steadily, and the sounds of lewd squelching made his stomach tighten.
Bill watched her with dark, half-lidded eyes, his chest glistening with growing sweat.
“Fuck…” he breathed.
He reached for the nightstand without taking his gaze off her and grabbed another condom. The box was labeled Magnum Ecstasy. He came prepared for this moment he’d been craving. She watched as he tore the black foil with his teeth, letting the wrapper aimlessly fall to the carpet below. He rolled it on in one smooth motion, his cock standing thick and flushed, his thick, veiny shaft slick from her mouth perfectly encased in the translucent rubber.
Natalie traced her fingers down her stomach, slow and teasing, until they reached the smooth skin between her thighs. She purred as she brushed over her pussy, bare, warm, and already soaked again.
She’d shaved just this morning. Carefully. Intentionally. Just for this moment.
She hadn’t told Tim. He’d said he didn’t need details. So, she didn’t bother talking about it out of respect for him.
Bill’s big hands gripped her hips as she moved forward, guiding her into place. His eyes locked onto her smooth mound, clearly pleased at how ready and groomed she was for him.
Natalie climbed onto his lap in slow, seductive movements, her knees sinking onto the damp sheets on either side of his hips. Her body hovered just above him, and she wrapped her hand around the base of his throbbing cock before guiding him to her awaiting pussy. Their eyes met for a moment, his heavy with desire, hers thick with need, before letting herself sink down.
Her pussy spread wide around him, her breath catching in her throat as his thick head pushed in. Her eyes fluttered shut, and her mouth parted in a soft gasp as inch after inch stretched her open. Her slick heat swallowed him slowly, inching deeper, tighter, until she finally bottomed out with a quiet, pleased moan, her thighs quivering as her hips settled flush against his.
“Ohhh… yes…” she moaned, her voice dripping with satisfaction.
She could feel all of him. Bill pressed so deeply that it nudged something inside her. The sensation of the special condom practically made it seem like there was no layer separating them. Her hands braced his chest as she adjusted, exhaling shakily as her walls clenched around him.
God, he filled her.
Thoroughly.
Natalie could feel him all the way up, pressing deep, right into her gut. That thick, satisfying fullness she hadn’t felt in a while.
She remembered how it felt earlier today when she finally saw him for the first time. It felt so long when she fell to her knees and got her first real taste of him. Her fingers hadn't even wrapped fully around him. And when he first slipped inside her, god, she knew she’d be sore after.
Bill was big.
Bigger than Tim.
But that was okay.
She didn’t need sweet right now. She didn’t want slow.
She wanted this.
Her hips rolled slowly, letting his cock grind against her deepest, most sensitive parts. Her white painted nails dug into his chest as his thighs started to move, lifting just enough to let him slide before sinking down again, her eyes rolling every time he bottomed out.
Bill groaned beneath her, and he gripped her plush ass, pulling her in tight.
Natalie kept rolling her hips in slow, deliberate circles, grinding down onto him with a deep, aching pressure that made both of them groan with pleasure. His cock stretched her perfectly, hitting just the right spots as she moved over him.
She leaned forward slightly, both hands pressing against his chest for balance, her blonde hair falling around her face in loose, messy strands. Her body was slick with sweat, her thighs trembling slightly as she rolled her hips again and again in a deep, sensual rhythm, savoring every inch.
“Ah ah ah… Hmmm, you feel so fucking good,” she uttered, her voice low and breathy.
Bill growled and gripped her ass tightly, fingers digging into her soft flesh as he helped guide her movements. “You ride like you need this, baby.”
“I do,” she whispered, her alluring blue eyes locked on his. “You have no idea how much I need this.”
He thrust up into her, hard, and she gasped, her whole body jolting from the sudden shock of mind-melting pressure. “God, you’re so wet… and tight. You’re gonna make me lose my mind, Nat.”
She grinned playfully, a faint glint of pride gleaming in her eyes. “You as well. Fuck… I can feel you in my stomach, Bill.”
He reached up and pulled her down into a hot, hungry, open-mouthed kiss. Their tongues tangled as her hips kept moving, never slowing. The kiss broke, their faces inches apart, breaths mixing, and sweat dripping between them.
“You always ride like this?” Bill asked, voice low and hoarse. “Or just when you’re being bad?”
Natalie sat back up as she rocked down hard, making him grunt. “Don’t ask questions you already know the answer to.”
Bill chuckled darkly, grabbing her hips, fucking up into her again, his cock driving deep, slamming against her cervix. “Such a tease.”
She moaned, her pace faltering for just a second as he bottomed out again. Every thrust sent sparks through her core, the pleasure sharpening the desire. She wasn’t supposed to feel this good with someone else.
And yet, here she was, sweaty, bouncing, and moaning. Riding a man who wasn’t her husband, like her life depended on it.
But given the circumstances, this guilty pleasure was something she was fully allowed to indulge in.
Bill then sat up beneath her, wrapping his strong arms around her and pulling her tight to his hairy chest. Natalie gasped, arms clinging around his shoulders as her hips kept grinding down, her soaked pussy clenching around his big, juicy cock. His mouth went straight to her chest, kissing, sucking, and dragging his tongue across her flushed skin.
He took her erect pink nipple into his mouth, sucking hard, his tongue flicking the bud as he groaned against her. She moaned sharply, her back arching, her hands grabbing at his balding head as he moved to the other breast, just as greedily.
“Oh my god—Bill—” she gasped, her thighs shaking uncontrollably. The pressure had been building the moment she climbed onto his lap, and now, it came rushing out all at once. She clung to him, burying her face in his neck as her body tensed.
And then, she came.
Hard.
“OOOHHHH! FUCKKKK—”
Her body shuddered in his arms, her pussy clenching tight around him as she let out a heavy moan. He held her through it, still kissing her chest as she creamed around him.
But he wasn’t done.
Bill shifted them fast, rolling them over and laying her back onto the mattress with practiced strength. Before she could catch her breath, he was already kneeling between her thighs, grabbing her hips tight, his condom-sheathed cock still hard and glistening as he lined back up again.
Then, he slammed into her.
Natalie cried out, her head rolling back against the sheets, mouth falling open as he started to thrust deep and fast, his hips snapping flush against hers. His grip was firm, holding her in place as his cock pounded into her married pussy, the bed creaking loudly beneath them.
“Ah ah ah—oh oh oh—Bill! Don’t stop! Harder! Harder! Please—” she moaned wildly, her voice pitched and cracking as she gripped the sheets.
He growled and drove into her harder, hips moving with deep, wet slaps that echoed through the dim room. Her long legs spread wider for him, her body jolting with each thrust, the pleasure unrelenting.
The air was thick with sweat, sex, and heat.
The sound of skin on skin filled the room.
Natalie grabbed his forearms, her fingers digging into the tense muscles as Bill hammered into her. Her moans came in broken gasps, each thrust knocking the air from her lungs as her hips bucked up to meet him.
Their eyes locked, his were full of fire, hers were glazed and wild with carnal lust.
He held her gaze, jaw tight, sweat dripping from his chest. She could feel it. He was close. His pace got rougher, more erratic, the slap of his hips against her thighs louder with every desperate drive forward.
“Fuck…” he growled through gritted teeth, his cock slamming into her harder, faster. “Gonna cum, Nat…”
“Do it,” Natalie moaned, her legs trembling and her hands gripping his arms tighter. “Cum for me, Bill. Give it to me. Fuck—!”
He let out a low, guttural roar as his hips thrust forward one last time, buried deep. His body tensed, and his cock pulsed as he came hard into the condom. His groan was sharp, strained, and raw. He stayed there for a beat, buried to the hilt, twitching as the first few thick ropes released inside her.
Then he pulled back quickly, breath ragged, snapping the condom off with one smooth motion and tossing it aside. He gripped his throbbing cock, his hand slick with her arousal and his own.
Natalie’s eyes widened as he took aim and eagerly stroked himself. He let out another deep moan, releasing the rest of his heavy load across her lower stomach. Hot spurts hit just beneath her navel, streaking over her toned skin, some of it trailing toward her hips.
She moaned softly, her hand sliding down to help stroke him through the final pulses, her delicate fingers gentle but hungry. His cock twitched in her palm, still hard, still hot, and smeared with the last of his release.
Their bodies heaved in the thick silence, both of them glossy with sweat and breathless.
Natalie’s hand stayed wrapped around him, still pumping his cock even as it softened slightly in her grasp. A little more spilled from the tip, and she caught it with her fingers, sliding through the thick, warm mess he’d painted across her stomach.
“Jesus,” she muttered with a wicked, pleased smile, dragging one slick finger across her skin before glancing up at Bill. “Still cumming like that even after the first time?”
Bill let out a short laugh, sitting back on his heels, his chest still rising and falling as he wiped his forehead with the back of his arm.
“Heh, I’ve always been built like that,” he said, grinning.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, still teasing her fingertip through the creamy streaks on her skin. “Jeez… I think you could knock a girl up just by looking at her.”
Bill chuckled, looking down at her with a satisfied smirk. “Well, I do have four kids.”
She laughed, nibbling her bottom lip as she gave him a playful stroke. “Yeah, I can clearly see that you’re capable of that.”
He reached out, brushing a strand of damp hair from her cheek. “Thanks for the compliment.”
Natalie giggled softly, her soft blue eyes locked on his as she dragged her fingers through another streak of his cum left on her stomach. She slowly and deliberately scooped a thick trail of it, letting the slippery fluid coat her fingers. Without breaking eye contact, she brought them to her lips and sucked them clean, one by one.
“Mmm,” she moaned playfully, licking the last bit from the tip of her finger. “You taste delicious, Bill.”
That taboo thrill simmered within. She never did any of this sort of stuff with Tim. It was as if a sex demon possessed her. A twinge of guilt lingered in her chest. But the reminder that she was allowed to do as she pleased, just so long as it remained in the bedroom, eased her conscience.
Bill stared at her. He blinked once, then laughed, bemused and amused.
“Shit, Natalie…” He ran a hand over his sweaty head, still catching his breath. “You’re dangerous.”
She smiled devilishly, licking a stray drop from the corner of her mouth. “You just now figuring that out?”
His eyes flicked down at her body, cum-slicked, stocky, flushed, and utterly glowing. His chest tightened, and his cock twitched against her palm. He was already thinking about round three.
A couple more hours slipped by like a wet dream, the sun dipped low behind the blinds, casting long amber streaks across the carpeted floor. The room was thick with heat, the air humid and laced with the scent of sex. The sheets of his bed were twisted and utterly soaked from the lustful fucking.
Bill lay sprawled on his back, chest heaving once again. His arms were thrown above his head, a slight, pleased grin tugging at his lips. The evidence of their coupling lingered around him. There were used magnum wrappers on the nightstand, a couple of knotted condoms were on the bed, and the mattress creaked faintly beneath him with every heavy breath he took.
Natalie sat on the edge of the bed, her back slightly hunched and facing away from Bill, still bare and sticky with sweat. Faint streaks of Bill’s cum clung to her breasts, drying against her flushed skin. She didn’t bother to wipe them away. Her legs were crossed, and her hair was a tangled mess falling down her back.
She had her phone in her hand. She smiled softly at the screen, thumbs typing out a quick, covert message to Tim.
“Just about finished here, babe. You were right, I needed this badly. Heading back soon. I should have dinner ready by the time you get home. Kisses 💋.”
Bill glanced over, his voice hoarse and deep. “That was… amazing, Natalie. It’s been god knows how long since I had a fuck like that.”
She turned her head, smirking as she locked her phone and set it beside her. “Yeah,” she said softly while still catching her breath. “You wore me out, hotshot. I could tell you were so pent-up. Why the hell would your ex-wife divorce you when you can fuck like that?”
He just chuckled, offering no response to her question, eyes half-lidded as he stretched. There was a brief silence between them before he spoke again. “You sure we’re not gonna get into any trouble? I don’t want to cause any drama.”
Natalie gave him a teasing glance over her shoulder. “Such a sweetheart. We’re gonna be fine, Bill. Just so long as we’re careful, no one will suspect a thing.” Her heart raced as the words left her tongue. It felt so naughty leaning into the whole cheating fantasy. But it made her feel alive. And it wasn’t like she was actually cheating. Tim knew everything that was going on, so her conscience remained guilt-free.
They both laughed softly, the moment thick with that post-high warmth. But then her tone shifted, just a touch more serious.
“I should get going,” she stated, standing slowly, stretching her arms over her head with a soft, satisfied sigh. “Tim will be home from work soon. Gotta make dinner.”
Bill nodded, sitting up with a slight groan. “Right. Of course. Wouldn’t want you to get caught.”
Natalie grabbed her bra and underwear from the floor and slipped them on as she scanned the room for the rest of her clothes. “This was… something,” she said, glancing back at Bill once more, her smile coy. “Maybe next time, less talking.”
Bill perked up, clearly thrilled at the suggestion that this would happen again. “Less talking. More fucking. Got it.”
She winked as she slipped into her jeans, bare feet padding quietly across the carpet as she grabbed her blouse from the floor and slipped it over her head.
Natalie found her glasses resting on the nightstand, right beside the crumpled condom wrappers. She slipped them on and pushed them up the bridge of her nose with that practiced touch. Her reflection in the darkened TV screen caught her eye. Her hair was a mess, blouse clinging to her still-damp skin, and a faint sheen of sticky fluids still on her chest. She didn’t bother fixing anything.
She walked back over to Bill, still sitting up on the bed, resting against the headboard, watching her with that easy, satisfied look.
She leaned down and pressed a soft, lingering peck to his lips. Nothing hungry this time, just warm and thankful.
“I’ll see you later,” Natalie said with a quiet smile.
Bill nodded, his hand resting on her thigh for just a second. “Looking forward to it.”
She grabbed her bag and slipped out of the bedroom and headed for the front door. As she left, the door clicked shut behind her, leaving only the heat and the fading smell of sex in her wake.
To be continued…
