Earlier I posted about how the Patreon Tiers would be updating in June. Those changes will be taking place this week. I've tried to keep as many of the original rewards as I can, but the tier they are in and their availability will change. During this transition, some tiers will be unlisted - no longer available for new patrons to pledge to.
Below is a list of anticipated questions about unlisting tiers, how they affect pledges, and a breakdown of what changes will be happening in each tier.
Regarding rewards already queued, earlier this month I updated the Wall of Awesome names, portraits will be added soon. For other rewards that are queued, private messages will be sent out by the end of this month to discuss further. If you have questions about these, or about the new tier changes below, please let me know! I want to make sure you receive the rewards you pledged for!
QUESTIONS REGARDING UNLISTED TIERS
What is an 'unlisted' tier?
'Unlisted' means the tier will no longer be seen or selected by newcomers to the Patreon page. Making a tier unlisted does NOT delete your pledge to that tier if you already have one in place.
What if I'm pledged to a tier that's unlisted? Will my pledge get cancelled?
No, your pledge will remain intact and continue to be paid as normal. However, unlisting these tiers is to help patrons and myself transition to the new reward tiers, so I will be deleting unlisted tiers after a few months. Deleting a tier WILL affect your pledge, so please take advantage of the next few months to review the new tiers and update your pledge.
Will I still get rewards from an unlisted tier?
Patrons will receive queued rewards from all tiers up to June 2023. Because the unlisted tiers are to help myself and patrons transition into the new rewards system, I will not be queuing rewards for unlisted tiers. After June's pledges go through, I will only queue rewards for pledges in active tiers.
Looks like I'll need to update my pledge to a new tier - do I have to pledge the dollar amount listed in that tier?
The dollar amount listed in that tier is minimum required pledge, but if you want to pledge more to support FE (which is amazingly generous, thank you!) you can remain in that tier and pledge a custom dollar amount.
Can I still change my pledge between tiers if my finances change, or if there's a specific reward I want?
Yes, absolutely! Some patrons change their pledges between tiers month to month, having that flexibility is one of the reasons I love Patreon. However, you will only be able to change your pledge to active tiers - not unlisted tiers.

LIST OF TIER CHANGES
$1 Tier - Active, Rewards Changing
This tier will remain active. If you are pledged to this tier you will still get access to patron-exclusive posts, and still get your name added to the Wall of Awesome.
Also, I'll be moving the Wallpaper Rewards from the $5 tier to this one. I'm no longer able to keep up with a monthly Wallpaper reward, but when I do finish a Wallpaper I'd like to share it with all of you guys as a patron exclusive.
$5 Tier - Unlisted, Will be deleted
This tier will be Unlisted, and eventually deleted. If you are pledged to this tier, you will eventually need to update it to an active tier. The Wallpaper Rewards in this tier will be moved to the $1 Tier.
$10 Tier - Unlisted, Will be deleted
This tier will be Unlisted, and eventually deleted. The Wall of Awesome Portrait reward will be moved to the $15 Tier. If you have a portrait reward queued in this tier, you will be receiving a private message discussing it further.
$15 Tier - Active, Rewards Changing
Will remain active, but this tier is experiencing the most changes. My goal is to use funds in this tier to help develop new, small merch ideas for FE. For example, when I want to try making stickers (digital and physical), bookmarks, pins, etc - this tier will help fund developing prototypes, which will then be shared with patrons who've pledged to help make them happen.
Also, Wall of Awesome Portraits will also be moved to this tier, starting July 2023 new patrons of this tier will get their portrait added to the Wall, and a digital copy of the portrait for their own art collection.
Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of paper and printing, reserving a printed copy of future FE books will no longer be a Patreon reward.
Ending this reward was a really difficult decision, since your support is what's helped all the past FE books be printed so far. However, it boiled down to a choice of requiring a significantly higher pledge on Patreon for all future books, or crowdfunding on a separate platform for each book. I don't plan on doing ANY new books or crowdfunding campaigns until things are caught up in Patreon. But when things are caught up, I believe a separate, one-shot campaign for each book as they occur will be the best choice for FE Fans and myself.
That being said, digital copies of future books will still be a reward for patrons of this tier, and printed Short Story comics (the individual ashcan copies) will still be a reward of this tier.
$25 Tier - Active, No Reward Change
This tier will remain active, the cameo reward rotation will remain in place - along with the benefit of all rewards from the new $15 and new $1 tier.
The reason no changes happened for this tier is because the only way to get caught up with these rewards is to make more FE pages - and the changes other tiers will help change my workload to make that possible.
$50 Tier - Unlisted, Will be deleted
This tier will be Unlisted, and eventually deleted. If you are pledged to this tier, you will eventually need to change it. The Commission Rewards will be suspended until I have caught up with commissions already queued. If you have commission rewards queued in this tier, you will be receiving a private message discussing it further.
$100 Tier - Unlisted (Temporarily), Reward Changing
This tier will be Unlisted until I catch up with commissions. Once I am caught up with commissions, This tier will be re-opened with a limited number of Commission Reward Slots (probably 2-3) available.
There are two reasons for this change: the first reason is because my commission prices haven't changed in several years - but the cost of materials and the amount of time that I have to make them has.
The second reason is to help keep the number of commissions in queue at a manageable level moving forward. The commissions are a popular reward, I want to keep to be available for future patrons. But the current commission queue is a BIG reason why I'm so behind on everything. While I'm grateful for everyone's kindness and patience, I don't want a queue this large to ever happen again - you deserve to have your rewards in a reasonable amount of time.
