Hey everyone,
So as a lot of you are aware I tend to work on two animations at the same time. This helps to break up time, keeps things fresh and helps tackle challenges from a different perspective, as opposed to getting frustrated and stuff.
So currently only S03E03 is in production, it's around a third done, give or take. The plan I had for Episode 4, was to feature a SciFi Horror/dark theme crossing Mass Effect with Star Wars as Cal and James meet, debuting both characters in an animated format. I know what I want to do, I'm just not overly clear in my mind the short's middle and end, and I don't want to put out a weak animation having spent around 3 months making it. I'm also aware the sequence involved that I wanna do... I have no idea how to do in Blender (yet) and I need to set build, which is fine, but adds time. The other thing, is the new Dark Pictures title is out the same time and may feature similar themes, so I don't want it to influence the development, or take away from the experience of the new title.
With that in mind, I'm going to shelve "A Deep Space Rescue" to a later date, or write off for now. What does that mean? Well one of my reserve concepts will be replacing it, rather than simply writing the slot off, and go straight to episode 5. So...
So "A Craving at Midnight" will replacing it.
What's it about?
Jacob Custos is having trouble sleeping, and his stomach is going crazy as he's starving! During the midnight hour he sneaks about looking for something to stuff his face... but meeting Nicholas Furcillo, the two jokers get up to much, much more than just eating watermelons and "pop pop, popcorn that you can simply pop in your mouth"...
Set building has begun as I wait for Goro to do his thing on the other screen with the MK boys lol. Will post more details soon :)
