Hello everybody! A lot has been doing on, so I'd like to break it all down step by step:
- I'm so sorry for the lack of updates since September! Maybe you've heard about this, but the entire west coast was (and continues to be) on fire. Here in Portland, the entire city was blanketed in smoke so thick it blotted out the sun and burned to breathe, to say nothing of what it was like indoors with no outside air for such a long time. Needless to say I did not get any work done during that period!!!!
- There's more to it than that, though -- right now, I'm in pretty dire financial straits. I need to raise a couple thousand dollars in about a month. My original plan was to draw and release a side comic for $5, but because of everything else (see above), I no longer have enough time to do that.
- So instead, I thought I'd do what people have been asking me to do for a long time: Collect Goodbye to Halos as a PDF!
- You can find Goodbye to Halos volume 1 attached to this post. It's over 200 pages long, and collects every page of the comic up to the end of Chapter 1, with brand new cover art drawn by me. The pages are presented uncompressed and in higher resolution than you'll find on the site.
- The $5 patron tier you're subscribed to has long boasted that you'd get free, early access to any for-purchase Goodbye to Halos material. Well, here you go!!!! Sorry it only took me about five years!!!!
- That said, when I put this comic up for purchase tomorrow, if you're at all able, it would help me out immensely if you'd buy it anyway. You could buy a copy for a friend, or just consider it a tip jar. It's totally up to you, of course!
- Whatever the case, thank you once again for your support. It means the world to me.
- (By the way, we're approaching the end of Chapter 2 Part 1 -- I have extremely big plans for it, so stay tuned. And of course, that means there'll be a Volume 2 coming some day...!)
