Requiring over 30 audio tracks, layered vocals, and otherworldly sound effects, Obsessed Sleep Demon Plays Mind Games is one of my most complex audios to date. Let's take a look behind the scenes.
1. To create the demonic voice effect, I layered copies of my vocals in different pitches. I also played around with reverse reverb for a ghostly, echoey effect.

2. Here are a few audio tracks that contain sound effects, ambience, and music. For this roleplay, timing sound effects was the lengthiest part of the process.
3. After adding most of the sound effects, I realized that it'd be easiest to record a few on my own. I usually keep a list of sound effects to record in the Notes app on my phone.

It's been fun to venture into fantasy, but designing a fantasy soundscape is brutal! But it's very satisfying. When I compare the raw and edited vocals, I appreciate the editing process that much more.
Be sure to have a listen to the full audio if you haven't! It's... an interesting one.
