Pear Animation Poll

DESCRIPTION

So I've been re-thinking the Pear Animation approach.I thought what I had was a good idea, but frankly the more I'm working on it, the more and more I feel it's missing something.

I was brainstorming recently, and I want to try something new with this animation, but I want some input on whether I should pursue this route.

Basically, I want to make this a sequel to Caught in the Act, and continue the story a bit further, and this is what I came up with, and what I feel would be a pretty decent continuation of the story.

After the events of Caught in the Act, the remaining gums were seized by authorities, and after about 2 weeks of recovery, Caroline is back into the fold with investigating this company that produced the gum she ate.

Not much has come from the front page piece revealing the existence of this insane gum, and to get ahead of the negative publicity of this piece (although there wasn't a lot), the company is hosting tours to journalists to see that their practices are safe, and no such experimentations take place.

Caroline is hoping to sneak into one of the tours, and expose the company again, hoping for a larger response from the world. She's also partly hoping she can find one of these gums for herself, and experience transforming again.

Caroline sneaks into one of these tours, and this is where the animation begins.

As a small group is being lead around the factory floor, Caroline discovers bits of candy left on a conveyer belt that the company failed to remove for their tour. She doesn't know if this is an experimental candy, but she dives in anyway, partly hoping to experience what she did before.

She takes it and reveals it to the crowd, asking the guide what the candy is.The guide is a bit taken back, and recommends she doesn't eat it.

She eats it.

The candy is in fact one of the experimental pieces, and she transforms into a pear in front of the crowd. Her clothes bursting off as she swells larger and larger.

The crowd is understandably horrified, and the guide is speechless.

She's left a giant pear.

The animation ends here.

It's still fairly short and simple, leverages the new motion capture suit as I can now animate multiple characters, and now hopefully, I can finally use Houdini for this animation, and tear her clothes right off of her with simulation.I have made progress with Houdini, and solved the issues I've been having with soft bodies.I'm working on a simulation right now that will hopefully be the framework for making cloth possible in this next animation. It also continues Caught in the Act's story a bit further.Porting Caroline took some time because her rig was fairly integrated into her, but newer characters will be much easier to port.

But, I do want input on whether I should do, continue with the original plan, or go with this new one?
