DESCRIPTION
This is the latest piece I've been working on, inspired by the Dutch house designed by Rem Koolhaas. The art piece in the back is the album cover for Take Five by David Brubeck - a jazz classic.

process:
Early blockout, making sure the composition and proportions of everything looks tight.
This is the worst; when you're adding the first materials and you realize you have a long way ahead.
Experimenting with a purely glass shelf, like in the real house, but it looked a little bland imo.
Some people might not like it, but I really dig the harsh marine blue color (it comes from mixing in a blue translucent shader)
Trying out some different lighting setups.
