We're goin away for most of this week, so we are preparing for that, and we dont have time to watch the Stampede Movie, so we will skip the fillers setting that up for now. But I want to talk about something.
We can see you guys really want more one piece, and we can see you are frustrated, but I want to explain something very clearly: We only ever promise that patreon will be 2 weeks ahead of where youtube is.
In effect, that means 6 One Piece per week. Sometimes, we miss a youtube upload, and that loss is not felt here as much at the time because we continue to post on patreon. So for a majority of the time, instead of being the promised 12 episodes ahead, we'll be more ahead than that sometimes up to 20 eps ahead. Then, when it is time to record our podcast, we tend to take longer to do so. So then, that lead that we had diminishes, and hits patreon at the same time. In my opinion, this is a better system, because it allows us to digest the series and build anticipation for a few days before heading into the new one. And it prevents constant stoppages whenever we just forgot to schedule the youtube upload or whatever went wrong.
We try to communicate the best we can, but at the end of the day, I don't think many of you actually care about why we miss a day or string of days. You just want the reactions. That's what you pay for. And that's fair.
But because of how much we love one piece (and the other shows we cover), we're not gonna overextend ourselves all the time when we're exhausted because then we start to miss details in the show, and then you guys get pissed at us for having bad takes, then we get really burned out and don't want to record at all. Its a compounding effect. And in most cases, taking a few days break between arcs is not that big a deal. Sometimes that means a day without, or a double the next day. or the following day comes early to apologize for a previous screw up.
I know that some of you aren't satisfied with that, but we're only keeping with what we promised. 2 weeks ahead of youtube. which by the way, we still are 2 weeks ahead currently, despite being one day "behind" because of the earlier phenomenon.
EDIT: ALSO, normally the podcast takes a lot longer, but we actually did it a lot faster this time, and are planning to be even better in the future. Its a weird thing where we need to get questions from you guys, so we cant actually record it until all the arc episodes are out. So even if we get ahead on recording, it doesn't really matter cause we can make the podcast without the questions from you guys. So there is always likely going to be a day or two delay at least.
