March Culture Pack - North Africa!

DESCRIPTION

March's North Africa culture pack is ready! This stuff is going to go into its respective normal documents (So Much Miscellany for equipment and items, So Many Monsters for monsters). I chose to zero in the culture pack on the Tuareg, a seminomadic people spread out across northwest Africa, so all our items are based on Tuareg culture and myth. We've got:

The Allarh, a short parrying spear. It's possible the tuareg practiced a unique spear-and-sword fighting style, which is what I based this on; worth noting that the sources I found for that are pretty sketchy.

The Main-gauche, a parrying dagger. This has nothing to do with the culture pack, but made sense to write up as long as I was slightly refactoring how I handle parrying weapons.

Amel's Imzad, A lutelike instrument inspired by the demigod Amerolqis, who supposedly invented the imzad to seduce women.

Veil of the Deep Desert, a veil is inspired by traditional Tuareg veils (in a script-flip, the matriarchal tuareg tradition primarily makes men veil their faces).

Sandstorm Horseshoes, inspired by a story where the hero Adelasegh saved his sister from a bad marriage by having his horse kick up a giant dust cloud before rescuing her.

Bracelets of the Desert Queen, inspired by the jewelry buried on the (likely) body of Queen Tin Hinan.

Eljinen Hunter, A representative of the Eljinen species, based on the Tuareg's idiosyncratic myths about djinns (more like people, less like spirits).

Kambaltou, Weird hyena-apes that like to swallow prey wholel

You can find all these things in So Much Miscellany and So Many Monsters. No art for any of this stuff, unfortunately, but might happen someday if these make it into paid content.
