Anticapitalist Revolt! Wait, who brought that one up? How'd that get in here? For real, though, MB&B is heavily modeled on the Luddite rebellions, where workers rose up to fight the imposition of a brutal factory system intent on destroying their livelihoods. Except our necromancer-barons run their factories on souls instead of steam, and, frankly, are nicer to orphans than their historical equivalents were.
