Here's a recap of what we did last month!Greetings, it's the first newsletter of 2026! How did the first month of the year go for you? It was overwhelming (in many ways) for us, but hey, we made it.The first shoot of the year happened! We tried to get as much prep done before the winter break so we could get right into filming new episodes for y'all. Some pretty stellar guests joined us, and we can't wait to share it all with you! Here's the emoji sneak peek from the last newsletter ICYMI: 🐰🦊✌️We didn't get enough of our faces on camera at the January shoot, so we also prepped a mini shoot for early February. Actually, it's because Stranger Things is so good, so we shot a few episodes at the Jan shoot AND plan to shoot more in Feb.Our January on YouTube was full of beloved animated faves! We threw it back to the 2000s with Ice Age and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. We returned to The Legend of Korra to discuss Bolin and Mako's brotherly relationship. Patrons picked Psychology of a Hero: Éowyn for us to react to. Twist our arms, make us watch The Lord of the Rings again, geez! Which video was your favorite? Over here on Patreon, we released yet another blooper reel. We keep making the show, and we keep messing up! For the filmmaking deep dive, we shared the process of writing a screenplay - The Vessel, the film y'all are making with us! Did you spit out your drink watching bloopers or learn something new about screenplay writing? Let us know!We finished re-outlining The Vessel and started writing scenes for draft 2! Alan and David did a second location scout at the house where we're hoping to film (Megan hadn't seen it yet, and it helps to visualize while writing the scenes.) Plus David lives pretty close to that house (which is not all that close to where Alan lives), so it was a good chance to meet up in person to see the house and talk about story updates. Alan has been doing some test shots for the movie, too.
