What I’m reading!
There Is No Antimemetics Division by Qntm - This was a delightful slog, if that makes any sense. A bit hard to read, just given the nature of the story (it’s a SCP-like about a group of people fighting Unknowns that erase the knowledge of their existence!) Really fun, thought-provoking, and not quite as pretentious as the author’s pseudonym. Strong recommend if you like baking your noodle.
What I’m watching!
Only Murders In The Building S5 - This show continues to be delightful, funny, and have surprisingly solid mysteries. I hope it continues for 5 more seasons. Then 5 more after that.
Buster Keaton’s Two-Reelers. Still going through all of these. They’re GREAT!
What I’m playing! Still!
Nuclear Option. This is a flight sim (pretty arcade-y) that allows you to drop nukes! Fun! It’s actually really fun and kinda deep, but I don’t really have the rig for it. Still enjoying it though.
Half-Life 2. This is my third or fourth playthrough. What a great game. Man I wish Valve still made games. They were really good at it. Though I’m glad they made me a Steam Deck. This is basically just a copy-paste of my reminiscence about Portal 2.

Hey all, how has another month passed already? Wild!This month I caught Michael in theaters, and while it's definitely a glossed-over biopic, it's a fun glossed-over biopic with a killer score. Looking forward to Devil Wears Prada 2 next week!Utah is unexpectedly rich for classic film showings in theaters. This month I caught a double-feature of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, as well as the OG Jurassic Park, and every single one of those theatrical experiences was a delight.I actually have a video game experience to report! I've been buying Arcade 1Up gaming systems for my home to play games from my childhood with my kids in their original arcade formats. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons have both been extraordinary fun.As for books, I've been reading Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love). It's all about removing roadblocks of self-doubt and fear so that we can step fully into our creativity and experience the joy of making things. If you're a creative experiencing a hangup, I highly recommend it. What about you all? What are you watching, playing, or reading?
