Hi everyone!
Our vote on decorative and interactive items has officially wrapped up, and the results are... well, very telling!
You didn't just throw out a bunch of ideas, you made it crystal clear what you want from the cozy domestic life in Tame It Too!. Thanks for all the activity, polls like this help us see what the community really wants and plan accordingly with you in mind.
Let's jump right into the winners and talk about what's coming next!
Poll #1: Furniture & Decor
In this vote, you were choosing regular decor items that don't require any new mechanics to implement.
1st Place: Light Sources
You confidently put lighting at the top, and it's quite understandable. A home shouldn't just exist, it should feel alive with warm light, coziness and atmosphere. This also made it clear we simply don't have enough lighting options yet. We've already started brainstorming different types of indoor and outdoor lighting. We've got a few ideas cooking, and we'll do our best to bring them to life in future updates.
2nd Place: Sofas & Comfy Furniture
Sofas, armchairs, poufs — all those cozy things that make Lee's home not just stylish but actually comfortable. Furniture for relaxing, for chatting, for... well, everything that can happen on something soft 😏 This kind of thing is seriously lacking in our tropical paradise. Just imagine how tired Lee must be of sleeping on hard bamboo and palm leaves! First, we'll need to figure out how to produce a bunch of fabric and then probably pluck every bird on the island bald, haha! We'll see what we can do, hopefully, we can make at least part of this dream a reality.
3rd Place: Cat Scratching Post
A special love, and it's instantly clear who it's for!
It's heartwarming to see how much you all love Cat. A scratching post isn't just decor, it's a sign of attention and care. Wouldn't it be great if Lee could make one for her return home? A proper gift! Picture this: Lee comes back in the evening, and there's Cat, happily sharpening her claws on her very own post, purring away with her eyes half-closed in contentment.
We pictured it, and now we're thinking about how to make it happen!
Poll #2: Interactive Items & Mechanics
Here you were voting for ideas that would require brand-new mechanics and more dev time, which, of course, only makes them more exciting!
1st Place: Bathtub / Shower / Toilet
Bathroom routines with a chance to peek in on the process, it's a classic for a reason, and you proved it once again. And yeah, we're totally on board with this one. We know exactly what kind of hot scene potential this unlocks. But! Technically speaking, this is big and complex. Animations, logic, character reactions, privacy (or the lack of it)... This isn't a quick update. More likely, mechanics like these would end up in a DLC or a major post-release polishing phase. But we hear you loud and clear. Consider this one locked in memory.
2nd Place: Hot Springs / Outdoor Pool
Now this is romance! A hot spring under the stars, steam rising from the water, the girls all relaxed. This could be more than just a decorative area, it could be a whole social hub of the village. Like with the bathroom stuff, this needs a ton of animations and logic. It would be amazing to pull something like this off, and we actually already have a spot on the map in mind where it could go. No promises just yet, but we'll be aiming for it!
3rd Place: Tailoring / Clothing Customization
This is something that has been long overdue. How long is Lee supposed to walk around in those ragged, crusty pants?! Oh, dear… We've been wanting to tackle this ourselves for a while now, but unfortunately, the moment you start digging, a mountain of obstacles appears. This is a massive chunk of work. Clothing models, dialogs, animation compatibility with hot scenes and cutscenes. If we're doing this, we're doing it right. And yeah, this is almost certainly DLC or a big post-release update territory. But the idea? We love it. It's staying in the back of our minds, for sure.
So, what's the takeaway?
Thanks to you, we now have a much clearer picture of our decor and furniture plans. Every single idea you shared was valuable and telling. We've discussed implementation possibilities and priorities with the team, and we'll be gradually working on these items and adding them to the game.
Lighting, winning by such a huge margin, is obviously our top priority. There are some technical hurdles with lighting, but we'll do our best to figure them out.
As for interactive decor and mechanics, we're honestly thrilled to have gotten so many awesome, creative ideas! We share your enthusiasm and would love to implement as much as possible ourselves. This stuff adds so much gameplay potential and scene variety. Right now our main focus is the core story campaign, but we now know exactly where to look in the future. A lot will depend on how the game performs when it hits Early Access on Steam, so don't forget to wishlist the game, it really makes a huge difference!
Friends, thank you so much for taking part in this incredibly helpful discussion and polls. Thank you for your ideas, your honest votes and your detailed, thoughtful comments! Without you we'd just be making the game blind. Thanks to you we feel the community's pulse.
Stay tuned. It only gets better from here! 😉
