Sorry about this week's update post being a day late, but I was taking a day's break after the release of version 0.1.3. The format might be slightly different this week as the update was only released a day ago and any progress made is already live.
Thoughts on update
I hope you've all been enjoying this latest update and are looking forward to the Halloween patch arriving next. As you might have seen, there is no Patreon exclusive scene with this update as I plan on releasing one accompanying the Halloween event. In terms of new content, this was quite a gameplay focused patch with a bunch of new weapons, armours and items being released, some of which offer new gameplay mechanics. Because of this I reckon quite a few weapons/classes might be slightly over or under powered for a bit so I want to see where everything lands before making any power adjustments. For example, with the inclusion of the priest weapons alongside the adjustment of elemental weaknesses, I think the Priest class & Mira are quite op right now. I also felt Sylvie was kind of weak during playtesting so I gave her some base TP regen to let her cycle through her skills quicker. I might at some point make another google survey, this one focusing on what classes and weapons feel the strongest/weakest.
Future Plans
Obviously the next patch will be the Halloween update and I've already started with modelling, using your feedback as well as my own ideas for some character designs. So far I have costumes for Mira, Morgana, Ellie, Sylvie, Mary and Princess Elara, with plans for each scene to be the player and 2 of the girls. For example, one scene will be MC x Mary & Elara and another will be MC x Sylvie & Mira. I also plan for a costume and scene involving Doll since she thematically makes most sense for a Halloween event. A final plan is for a new character with whom this Halloween event is centered around.
As for this week however, I am going to spend the first couple of days working on full patch notes, new banners and other admin type stuff for the public release. During this time I encourage everyone to let me know about any bugs they've found whilst playing as it helps a lot.
Personal
Nothing really to add this week, however sports wise since the international break is happening for football, I've been watching quite a bit of the MLB playoffs and have to say I'm rooting for the Mariners at the moment. They seem to be quite an easy team to root for with the big dumper breaking records and having never made it to the world series before. Also league of legends world championship is starting this week and whilst I haven't followed any league esports in a while, I'm guessing EU is going to be shit again this year.
