Here's what my daily studies look like as of late. For a bit I was doing studies using a brush that was more like an HB pencil, light with lots of pressure sensitivity, but my work was ending up stiff and flat looking. It was really demoralizing me, so I decided to mix things up.
I decided to do these with a basic round pencil brush, no pressure sensitivity or tapering at all. I think it helps me draw more confidently. It also forces you to be more efficient with your use of line. I also tried out a new way to construct feet that I think is much better for communicating weight distribution!
