Hello everyone! We are a week into the new month and that means that it is time to touch base with you all about the goings on here on the Patreon.
The obvious first thing that we should talk about is that Flarea Gains: REDUX has finally been released! After 6 months of development (most of which was doing the artwork) I am glad to finally have gotten it into the hands of others! To reiterate some things that I said in the announcement post. The game is going to be a paid exclusive for six months before being made free to all. There has also been a bug brought to my attention that got missed in testing, and that is if you are doing the vore route and you choose to purchase a curse of gluttony it will cause you to not be able to hunt in the forest anymore. This is due to some internal numbers that should be aligned falling out of alignment. It will be addressed in a patch that I will be putting out sometime next week, just so that there is some time for other potential bugs to be made know. I don't want to ask people to have to redownload the game a bunch of times if I missed multiple things you know?
So with Flarea done, what exactly is next? Well the plan is to hop back over to Big Aspirations for a couple of months in order to finally get that quality of life patch in place. I am going to be reworking most of the images in the game, I will look into adding music in a similar way as to how it was done in Flarea Gains, I am going to scour the game for spelling and grammar mistakes, I am going to reorganize the passages so that there isn't dead space in game, and finally I am going to work on getting the picture gallery in place. The gallery probably being the thing that will take the most time given how many pictures the game has. I also plan on adding a little more content to the beach so as to make it feel like a more realized location in the game, since in comparison to other spots within the game it does feel noticeably like a place that was added after the others.
My plan is to put out monthly patches to BA at the beginning of each month that will include whatever I have added in that time, regardless of completion, just so that people can choose to check out the new stuff if they feel so inclined. I expect this to probably take at least 2-3 months to get it all done, but if I can get it done faster I will.
Next let's talk about the polls and commissions from last month! Here are the poll results! (As per usual, large meal Patrons votes are in brackets and adjusted for weight)
April Commission Theme:A series of failed dates : 12 + (6) = 18
Before and after sequence: 10 + (4) = 14
Becoming a big fan of Cinnamon Swirlies: 27 + (4) = 31
A cursed notebook situation: 41 + (8) = 49
Lounging at home after a hard day with a tub of ice cream. Day after day after day... : 23+ (6) = 27
Which means that the theme chosen for the book store clerk would be to be involved with a cursed notebook. The 2 page comic sequence for this story is being handled by MorbidlyAverarge and you can expect that to come out this time next week!
Large Meal Suggestion Poll:
What if Steph, Jamie, or Beth went on vacation with Aubrey instead: 7 votes
Backstory (or hiring of) the maid Aubrey hires during the events of the very fat Jamie Ending: 8 votes
An extremely close poll decided by 1 vote. I decided to pull Natu55 off the sidelines of working on the Island Vacation redraw to make up a 1 page sequence for this commission. You can expect to see this one going live on the 22nd of this month!
Now to quickly touch on other things. Development of the Yuki Grows card game is currently on pause as our main developer for the game has been busy, though he is hoping to get back into the swing of things sometime during the summer. Mostly the game just requires a lot of play testing because of how many different cards and interactions are in the game, and that will take some time. I am also working on some plans for a different kind of project that I won't reveal much about, but I am personally excited to give it a try!
Aaaaand that's it for now, thank you to everyone for the incredible support with the Flarea release, makes the time put into it worthwhile. I hope to continue to deliver to you all in a way that makes you feel like your support is deserved.
Now back to the mines!
