Dude, I spent over 4 hours trying to figure out what was causing the problem with my Vegas Pro. Every time I tried to type or edit text, it seemed to deselect immediately. I had to put it right in the middle of the screen for the text editing to work, but then I couldn't use the eyedropper tool to select the color. I tried checking if something was misconfigured, I tried checking if it was a Windows error in the settings, I tried changing the resolution to see if that would solve it, I tried switching monitors, I tried reinstalling the program, nothing worked.
Then I decided to disconnect from Discord, and that's when I noticed my keyboard and mouse went crazy. The mouse wouldn't type, the left and right buttons wouldn't work, but before disconnecting I noticed the program stopped bugging; I just couldn't type because the keyboard was acting up.
Oh, I restarted my PC, and guess what? The program was bugged again! But then I tried disconnecting Discord again, and again the keyboard and mouse went crazy, but the program started working again.
And guess what? It was that damn Discord overlay system that was bugging the program! I spent over 4 hours trying to fix it. If I hadn't been able to fix it, I would have had to format my PC because I needed the program to do my animations and edits.
Spending 4 hours trying to solve a program problem and discovering it was a completely unrelated program causing the problem, OMG!
I lost so much work time trying to solve this because it would have complicated things if I had left it for later. So, a tip for you: disable their overlay system, or at least leave only the necessary one enabled.I had to write down what happened to me, it's so frustrating, I spent 4 hours only to find out it was a bug in a program that had nothing to do with it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
