Aesthetics and Liberation: Why we all need to be looksmaxxing - an AudioEssay
This piece is the final research project developed for a Postgraduate sociology course called "Capitalism, Desire and Ideology". It is not a hypnosis piece, however it is something I am incredibly proud. Much of the tack I take in this piece and my ethos around this subject is inspired directly(and then goes on to re-inspire) by my work in the abyss and hypnosis.I see a lot of the transformative energy of the abyss and its focus on appearance and freedom as an inherently political, spiritual and cultural project.
This essay is a little technical if you have no background in sociology or social theory. But one comment I have gotten is that the style is still incredibly approachable and I do enough explanation of required terms within it to be understood. If you're interested in what my Non-hypno style of writing is like, this is a good showing.
Some content warnings for this piece: Discussion of Alt-right terrorism, Neonazi imagery, the current fascist wave, marxism, communism, looksmaxxing, Clavicular, Hasan Piker, etc etc.
I hope those of you who do listen enjoy it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the piece.
