Hey everyone,
I've been writing this post during last weekend already, and it's all a bit ironic..this is supposed to put a light on my plans for the coming summer months. And before I could finish the post, my shoulder began to hurt a bit, and then hurt more, and it turns out I injured myself during a boulder session some days before.
With this forced break, I'm not sure at this point how my plans will actually work out in the end. The good thing is: I can still write quite well, while drawing isn't really possible. So I'm going to finish the post now — and lucky me, the first point I have does involve lots of writing as well!
Isometric Art Tutorial
I always want to write tutorials, and then I don't because I want/need to use my time for drawing. The Isometric Art Tutorial will come though, promised!
I have some special plans and ideas for it, that I will share to the paying Patrons in my next post. That post will also already include the first chapters of the tutorial. All I want to say right now is that it's going to be an e-book in the end, so stay tuned if you want to read that! 😊
Drip Drops
I've recently joined Drip Haus, maybe you saw the announcement with the first artworks I made. The first drop is going to happen soon. You can sign up there and subscribe to my account for free.
Drip has a really interesting concept for creatives: instead of sharing my work into the void that social media platforms are today (with only the platforms making profits off my work), I share it to a platform where I can get financial support for doing so. The cool thing is that this is not only speaking to a elite high value collector base, but you can also collect my work for free, or decide to support me to get specials. There's no financial gatekeeping involved.
Now to a little secret announcement: I will soon start dropping a playing/trading card project there. The Jack of Hearts card will be part of it, and maaayybe I'll be able to turn it into a real card deck 😍 (as soon as my arm functions again).
Open Edition Print Shop
My current print sale goes for another 3 days, and this is going to be my last self-managed print run for a while. I love making prints to no end, but the amount of work, my cluttered office, dealing with shipping etc. stands in a bad relation to the income.
Instead, I'm building an on-demand shop together with Paris-based print supplier Lama. I will also include some sold-out prints of earlier series, as Open Editions. Of course I will shoot you guys an update once the shop is live, and send a nice discount code to my Patrons!
Mirrored Dreams
And of course there's the big book project I'm working on the whole year: Mirrored Dreams by my new publishing company Gooey Goose! We just finished collecting dreams, there's so much amazing inspiration in there!
The artists (incl. me) will start working on their stories/pages now, so I hope to have some updates about the book process soon!
