saying hello from my summer holidays in Greece - plus I wanted to share this year's Plastober prompts with you! There's daily and weekly prompts again, everything is in the images of the post :)
Also here's just a few thoughts on Inktober/Plastober and the creative community:
I wasn't sure wether to create another list this year. I've been hosting Plastober for the last 4 years, and in the last 2 years the number of participants has been going down significantly. I see two reasons for that: Instagram has been the main platform for these kinds of events, and it's becoming less and less of a community platform, turning more into a one-way direction content app. And also the general will to interact and participate in creative group events seems to have gone down. The second reason could be just a personal experience, but I hear from other artists that they see a similar development.
A handful of people reached out to me though, asking about this year's prompts and telling me how they loved the recent ones. And I thought...it's not just about numbers. If just a handful of people really enjoy this, I can sit down and give them creative input. And eventually become a little piece of the puzzle that turns them into better artists.
