I have made peace with the fact that sometimes you make jokes about the current state of things and they date poorly, and Instagram being a "young people app" (or at the very least an app people Miles' age use, considering quite some time passed since Boomer's Big Date and he's closer to 40 than 30 now) might be going in that direction. I think it works regardless as a really careless/thoughtless assumption on Miles' part that he can just post pictures with his boyfriend in social media and his out of touch parents will never find them.
Also, here comes Miles' dad! I figured I'd go with a purple bathrobe since, as implied in some of the earlier pics I did with him, Miles' parents are doing well for themselves, purple has an association with royalty and power, and it's close to the shade of blue used for his eyes and speech bubbles. It also forms a nice contrast with the warm colors of his background, so his side of the conversation looks a lot warmer and cozier than Miles' colder hues to represent their respective circumstances.
