“In fact”, you continue, “you seem interesting yourself. I wouldn’t mind listening to YOUR stories all night.”

The bartender is taken aback by your comment, and looks away to pretend he’s not blushing. It seems like something catches his attention, however: the hourglass keeping track of the 15 minutes between the start and end of each date. He realizes he got distracted from his duties, and rings the bell for the final time.

“A-attention”, he says, choking on his words before clearing his throat and regaining his composure. “Now that everyone’s gotten to know each other, it’s time to let each other know who you’re interested in.”

One by one, he hands the bachelors sheets of paper, as he explains. “You’re all going to be writing down the participants you were interested in, in the order you liked them the most. If you were not interested at all, don’t write them down.”

Rokash interrupts him. “I need help. I only write good in Orcish.”

The bartender sighs. “In a moment.” He turns to you as he hands over the sheet, and looks straight into your eyes. “Remember, anyone you’re interested in, write it down.”

You accept the sheet and start considering your options. You decide not to waste your time with Asu, since you assume he’s not going to be writing you down either. That leaves the other three. Charlie, the human-turned-gnoll hedonist that’s looking for a short-term partner to experiment with. Balthazar, the wealthy dragon with a limited dating pool that seems singularly interested in you. Rokash, the burly orc with an exciting job and eagerness to fulfill one of your fantasies. And although it might go against the event rules, you feel like the widower bartender could use a good time as well.
