EARLY ACCESS: Ghost Trick Analysis Script
DESCRIPTION

Hello everyone!

This is the script to my next literary analysis. That's right, I'm FINALLY getting around to the backlog of requests from the olden days, when one of my Patreon bonuses was picking a game for me to analyze. I've got three more after this, too, after which I hope to institute a one-time payment system for such requests (though I can't really avoid it being prohibitively expensive, so... apologies in advance).

Anyway, this is one of the many underappreciated gems from the Nintendo DS library. It's a pretty great game, I think, and I'm glad to have finally played it for the sake of this analysis. As always, comments are enabled, so if you have any feedback you're welcome to add it in the Google Doc!

If you do want to provide feedback, here are the particular points I'm unsure about:

1) The summary. I try to keep them concise (no more than half the overall runtime) while still covering everything the viewer needs to know about the story I'm about to analyze. But mystery stories are really hard to summarize well, because they rely so heavily on little trickles of information doled out bit by bit as the story progresses, and this story in particular is BONKERS. The result is a summary that's really long,  while still feeling kind of rushed. The visual elements of the final video will no doubt help it make more sense than just reading it, but I want to make sure it's not just nonsense. So especially if you haven't played the game... well play the game, you know my stance on spoilers, but if you read this anyway please do tell me if the summary seems at all understandable.

2) The general reads on the game's story and themes. It's one of those stories that's fairly simple, and plays with more ideas than it actually really builds on, so if there are any ideas about concepts I missed or glossed over, I'd love to hear them!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this early look at an upcoming video! I'll keep you updated as progress continues and I get this next batch of videos filmed.
