Chelsea was a very complicated character to draw, back when I did her first pinup. Tiny lines, hinges, corners and symmetry I really had to pay attention to.
With this, I really wanted to focus on use of "shape" and simplify her in general. With her eyes and snout is where I wanted to keep the animatronic aspects, since that is where initial point of focus is, before viewer eyes wander... elsewhere. Overall, I really am liking her general vibe.
As you can see though, there is a reason I don't do "sketch tier" commissions. How many of you could even make heads or tails of that without the inks to compare it to?
