Introducing "Dayless Doves", a collaborative branding for Steam releases and comic releases

DESCRIPTION

Hello, this is Six and Icarue here.

(And thanks to Pianofairie for the wonderful logo she created)

Today, we want to introduce a new initiative we're conducting. Something we are calling "Dayless Doves" (a twist on the Nightless Crows name from Oathbreaker). Dayless Doves is a shared branding that Icarue, Six, and potentially more will use to connect and market our games and comics across various platforms (when relevant, basically). Primarily...

As a Steam "publisher". We'll be able to connect all our games, plus create bundles of releases for discounts and marketing.

A shared branding for new comic release websites like NamiComi, MangaDex, and more. It both connects our comic efforts in terms of branding, and it fulfills some requirements that some of the comic websites have for publishing.

Outside of the slow rollout of releasing on my platforms comics wise, this will primarily effect how we do steam releases. So, what does that all entail at this point?

Our games will get updates as they are put on Steam. The exact nature of each update will vary significantly based on what we feel is appropriate for each title.

Some will be minimal updates keeping their free status bar any patreon early access involved.

Others will get "deluxe" versions. These will have a cost to buy them, varying based on size of the game and amount of new content offered.

Don't worry!

These deluxe versions won't replace the original free versions of the games. Those will always be available.

Instead, we'd be treating them like "Gold", "Game of the Year", or "Remastered" versions where at least some of the graphics get updates, some new art may be added, mechanical improvements may be made, and there may be some additional DLC-esque add-ons to the experience. Specifics depend on the game.

We'll be (and have been) working on these in the background. When will they release? When we have time with everything else to finish them up, ultimately.

But, with that, we're happy to announce two titles we're starting this effort with...

Magisit Remastered

Magisit is a simple game about a simple guy sitting on a simple stick and becoming a good ol' simple magical girl. At least until one very unsimple mission is thrust upon our protagonist and she can choose to resist temptation or embrace power as she works her way through her struggle

Magisit Remaster will be a notable refresh of the game, with a combination of new art and some of the existing art being updated. Presentation for the game will be refined significantly with new graphics, new UI, and a new set of music. You can also expect add-ons of new narrative content.

Check out the "milestone 1" beta version of the remastered version tomorrow on Icarue's Patreon!

Petrichor: Reverie Edition

Petrichor follows a fateful day of Justin Girard in its escape room style adventure. Spending the day on the trails with his friends, an accident brings his life to a sudden standstill. As rain begins to fall, you awaken somewhere between the forest floor and something stranger... a shroud of scattered memories, buried truths, and puzzles waiting to be unraveled.

Petrichor: Reverie Edition takes the game jam game it was and enhances the game to a proper full release. Refined presentation, new lore, and new art from characters to CGs. This short but memorable adventure reaches its definitive edition.

Petrichor is available to wishlist on the Steam store now!

As these two titles become complete, we'll move on and continue giving similar treatment to other titles we've made.

We're excited to start making these moves with our games and comics, and we'll hope you'll join us in that. Thank you all for supporting our creative endeavors!
